Matt Rempe Living With Legendary Goalie-quang

Matt Rempe revealed that he moved in with Jonathan Quick this summer as the veteran goaltender has taken him under his wing.

Matt Rempe has had a crazy summer to say the least.

Between working with Georges Laraque on fighting techniques and training with Chris Kreider, Rempe has been keeping himself busy throughout the offseason.

Not only has he spent most of the summer training in New York, but he is actually currently living with Jonathan Quick.

“I went back home to Calgary for a month, stayed with the family, my mom,” Rempe said at Fanatics Fest. “It was great to be home for a little bit, but then I came back out to Connecticut about a month ago and moved in with Jonthan Quick and his family.

“They have been unbelievable, him and Kreider have taken me under their wing. Been training with them out in Connecticut. It’s been going really well.”

Quick is a two-time Stanley Cup champion as he is the perfect kind of mentor for a young player to have.

There is no question that Rempe gets a lot of attention, but it’s really a positive sign to see him taking his offseason training extremely seriously while making the effort to learn from veteran players such as Quick and Kreider.

It speaks volumes about his overall character and determination to become a better hockey player.
