MAFS Australia bride left "disgusted" after discovering groom's date: "We're done" - suong

Married at First Sight Australia star Carina Mirabile was left "disgusted" by the actions of her husband Paul Antoine, saying their relationship was "done"

Tuesday's (29 April) episode of the reality show saw the remaining couples on the receiving end of a shocking twist following the final commitment ceremony, with the group given a chance by the experts to discover if the "grass may be greener on the other side".

The task saw each star given the opportunity to meet with another of their potential matches for a date, though it was noted that it was merely an exercise to test the bond of their existing relationship rather than forging a new one.

Carina was immediately nonplussed over the offer, explaining that she wanted "continue the fairy-tale" with Paul as the "grass isn't always greener", adding that it would be "against [her] morals" and "borderline cheating" to go on a date.

Paul, however, was far more open to the idea, explaining that he was "curious" about the possibility of meeting somebody "just as compatible" as Carina. Despite saying his current relationship was "amazing", Paul opted to go on the date.

The situation understandably irked Carina, who lambasted her husband as he returned home from the date. Despite his insistence that he attended for the sake of "curiosity", Carina remarked that she was "embarrassed" by his decision.

"It's so weird," she added. "He's trying to justify the reason why he went. That to me is alarm bells, if you can't have self-control. I feel sick. It definitely doesn't make me feel good, knowing he had the option to not go. It's made me question our relationship.

"Maybe this is the type of person he is. It's made me question his personality. He's an idiot. I feel angry. He definitely didn't consider my feelings. It's really hit a nerve for me - some underlying issues. I'm worth so much more than this."

After returning, a tearful Carina ordered Paul to leave the apartment as she shared that she "couldn't move past" the incident, adding that it was the "last straw" and that the pair were "done" after noting that he wasn't in the experiment for the "right reasons".
