Madison LeCroy’s first wedding anniversary with Brett Randle wasn’t as romantic as she hoped it would be.

The Bravolebrity revealed during Thursday’s episode of “Southern Charm” that her 38-year-old husband was diagnosed with thyroid cancer at the end of 2023, nearly one year after they walked down the aisle.

“I thought, like, how? Like, I’m finally happy,” LeCroy said in a confessional interview. “It’s just scary.”

She went on to reveal that Randle got rid of the cancer by having a “three-centimeter nodule” removed. However, he is now suffering from complications.

“I feel like we can’t catch a f–king break,” she further said.

In a follow-up scene, Randle coughed while making pancakes for her son, Hudson, whom she shares with ex-husband Josh Hughes.

After LeCroy asked him how he specifically felt when he swallowed, the firefighter said, “I have to go see a specialist for it. It’s like two stages. I don’t know, so I got to go see an ENT for it and then probably have to do some type of therapy.”

Randle explained that it felt like “a marble stuck” in his throat when he swallowed, noting that he was “getting used to it.”

The hairdresser, 34, later got emotional on camera, talking about how hard Randle’s illness has been on her and her son.

“I told Hudson [that] Brett was sick, but I didn’t go into detail about what cancer can do to someone,” she shared. “I try not to let Hudson see me emotional because I have to be strong for my family.”

“Some days I just want to scream,” she confessed, noting that “anything” can trigger her.

“Whether that be someone saying, ‘When are you having a child?’” Madison continued, adding, “We were just kinda starting to plan, but that’s on pause for now.”

LeCroy and Randle tied the knot in Riviera Maya in November 2022, a little more than a year after he popped the question on Oct. 8, 2021.

The two met in the spring of 2021 while LeCroy was in Scottsdale, Ariz., for a friend’s bachelorette party.

Prior to her relationship with Randle, the reality TV star made headlines for her relationship with Alex Rodriguez.

She found herself at the center of Rodriguez and Jennifer Lopez’s breakup in March 2021 after it was revealed she and the former professional baseball player had messaged each other on Instagram; LeCroy, however, maintained that Rodriguez “never physically cheated” on Lopez with her.

New episodes of “Southern Charm” air Thursdays at 9 p.m. ET on Bravo.
