LOVE Island’s Casa Amor lad Cach might be a new face to ITV2 viewers — but eagle-eyed reality TV fans may recognise him from another dating show.
Before his arrival in the villa, Cach appeared on Are You The One? UK, which aired back in 2022 on MTV.
He was 20 years old at the time and competed under his real name, Cacharel.
Cacharel was introduced on the show as a student from Acton, West London, who was studying in Nottingham.
Alongside his studies, he also worked part-time as a children’s instructor, model and dancer, with ambitions of opening dance schools around the world.
In his original cast profile, he described himself as an “old soul” who tends to date older women.
He revealed he’d already had two long-term relationships, but said he had never experienced “that feeling” of finding the one.
He added: “I’m a romantic at heart,” as he joined the search for his perfect match.
Are You The One? UK saw a group of singles enter a house to find their scientifically chosen matches, with a £200,000 prize fund on the line if they correctly paired up by the end of the series.
Cach was one of ten men taking part in the matchmaking experiment.
Three years later, he’s returned to the screen under a shortened name — and this time, it’s for Love Island’s Casa Amor.
But Cash isn't the only boy who's flirted with fame before.
Boris Vidović previously appeared on a Slovenian reality show, where he said he "doesn’t believe in finding love on TV".
Model Boris, 28, who is currently attempting to turn heads in the ITV2 villa, was a contestant on Kmetija (The Farm) in 2024.
The series saw contestants live and work on a farm while competing for a cash prize.
At the time, Boris said he was taking part in the show for “a new experience” and hoped to use the prize money to travel to “exotic destinations”.
However, in an interview ahead of filming, he expressed doubt about romance on screen.
When asked about falling in love on reality TV, Boris told 24UR: “I don’t believe in it. I don’t even think about it.”
He also stated that he did not approve of nudity in front of the cameras.
During his appearance on Kmetija, Boris described himself as “communicative” and someone who “swears by positive energy and laughter".
He had no prior experience working on a farm or caring for animals but said he was not concerned about the challenges.
