Love Island viewers are convinced Harriet Blackmore and Ronnie Vint 'faked their breakup for the show' as Casey O'Gorman calls them out on their villa romance - suong

Love Island viewers have claimed that Harriet Blackmore and Ronnie Vint 'faked their breakup for the show' following a bitter spat between the couple and Casey O'Gorman.

During Sunday's installment during a tense game of To Be Honest the islanders were asked 'Which couple entered the villa for clout'.

Casey, 28, took the question as an opportunity to call out recently-split Harriet, 24, and Ronnie, 28, and claimed that they could have gotten back together outside of the villa.

After revealing his answer, he backed his decision and said: 'I think, not so much Ronnie but I think Ronnie tried to get back with you outside the show. And you put off and come back onto the show. '

This caused an uproar with Harriet and she told Casey to 'shut his f*****g mouth' and pointed out that she initally came into the villa and picked now dumped islander Ron Hall.

Casey carried on his explanation and said: 'Realistically it was always going to be Ronnie' and that him and his fellow islanders are 'not stupid'.

But despite Harriet's passionate defense, Casey's honesty sent ITV fans into a frenzy as they flocked to X to conspire that the duo faked their split in a bid to pocket the jackpot of £50,000.

One penned: 'I REFUSE to vote for Harriet and Ronnie to win when they’ve basically just had a 2 week break from each other and then got back together on tv for £50k.'

'Harriet and Ronnie faked their breakup for the show!'

'Your really telling me that Harriet & Ronnie didn’t have this all planned from the start'

'ronnie & harriett are a waste of tv time, they literally came back to get back together on screen'

Harriett and Ronnie embarked on a romance on series 11 of the show last year, before splitting just months after being dumped from the villa

It's not the first time fans have been unsure of where Ronnie and Harriett really stand with each other, with some believing they faked their split so they could reunite in the villa and win the show.

After Harriett returned to the villa, she wasted no time in locking lips with her former flame during the kissing challenge.

When Harriett made her explosive return to the villa as bombshell, she wasted no time in locking lips with her former flame during the kissing challenge.

The juicy scenes saw Ronnie immediately recognise his ex's kiss and awarded it 10 points, much to the infuriation of his current partner Elma Pazar - who had earlier accidentally said 'I love you' to him.

Later in the show, Ronnie publicly took Harriett to the terrace where they discussed their relationship, with the hunk admitting that all his feelings for Harriett were 'coming back', before declaring that 'it's always been you'.

The declaration left Elma stunned as she and the rest of the girls were eavesdropping on the conversation just under the terrace.

And while viewers are expecting fireworks, several were convinced that Ronnie's gushing words are all part of an elaborate plan for himself and Harriett to win the show.

Taking to X, formerly known as Twitter, fans shared their theory that the pair never really ended their relationship and that they have plotted to get back together in order to win the £50,000 prize.

They penned: 'No one can convince me that Ronnie and Harriet didn’t plan this “rekindling” since last year

'Ronnie & harriet have done this to come on here, reunite and win love island'

'okay plot twist: what if Harriet and Ronnie never actually broke up and they both agreed to go on all Stars so they could win together?'

'Okay now I’m starting to think they aren’t actually broken up & they just said that to come back on the show & win'

'I reckon ronnie and harriet faked a breakup and both came to get back on the show with intention of coupling back up and winning because they know the public liked them. im getting instant set up vibes. explains ronnies behaviour a lot.'

'Ronnie and Harriet “broke up” just to come on the show n scam a win.. idc tbh as long as they make it entertaining xx'

'Fully convinced Harriet and Ronnie have pretended to break up to go back in and win'

'Actually I’m convinced Ronnie & Harriet planned this so they will play lovers to enemies to lovers arc and win. I’m not even mad. Tv gold!'

Ahead of entering the villa, Ronnie teased whether he'd be open to rekindling his romance with ex Harriett.

While his relationship with the dancer crumbled amid cheating claims just weeks after being dumped from the island, Ronnie has admitted that he could 'potentially' be tempted to reignite that spark.

Speaking to MailOnline and other press ahead of the series launch he opened up about his past relationship with the beauty and how he'd feel if she entered the show as a bombshell.

'Who knows? If she did come in, I don't know what could happen. Potentially, yeah, but I'm not looking at it like that'

Love Island first look: Ronnie Vinn causes chaos in kissing-spree

He said: 'We had something good and obviously it ended. I haven't thought too much of her coming in but there's no hard feelings there. This is a new chapter and I want to see where that takes me.

'The memories and the experience I had with her, you can't take away from that. I'll always appreciate that, I do think a lot of girl.'

However, when pressed on whether he still had feelings for her, Ronnie denied this, but did not categorically rule out a reconciliation.

He explained: 'I wouldn't say they're [feelings] there because I haven't seen or spoke to her and I wouldn't be doing this if I did have that. But who knows? If she did come in, I don't know what could happen'.

'Potentially, yeah, but I'm not looking at it like that. I'm looking to see if I find someone new. But yeah, like I say, there's no bad words to say and I think a lot of her.'
