The former Love Island star has now admitted she didn’t want to speak about it publicly because she was concerned that it would affect her career if people knew.

"It’s been tough," she said on Hot Girl Talks on Capital XTRA today speaking to Shayna Marie and Zeze Millz.

"There’s a lot of things that have happened with me like mentally.

"As a black woman, I had been shy to disclose, so recently I have been diagnosed with ADHD," she bravely shared.

"And that was something I was very up in the air about talking about.

"Because I didn’t want that to be a factor of my career, or the factor of whether I get booked for jobs, or just a factor in everything.

"Because I feel like being a black woman, we have a lot of things already against us.

"So, to go and chuck in another thing, it is just something I’d rather not tell them about."

Indiyah added that she is "not in a position where I’m like it’s okay, it doesn’t define me" yet.

"And I think it made a lot of things clearer in my life as to why certain things happened," she went on.

"I started seeing things happening in my adult life, even in this industry, that affected me, and I was like ‘oh that happened in secondary school.’

"So, I feel it’s more of an understanding, but I think it’s sort of checking into your mental, finding out if there is something wrong or if you’re not feeling okay," she concluded on the matter.

ADHD, or Attention-Deficit Hyperactivity Disorder, is a neurodevelopmental disorder which is said to be characterised by persistent inattention, hyperactivity, and impulsivity.

Indiyah previously worked as a hotel waitress before entering the villa in 2022, and has since gone on to carve out a glowing presenting career for herself.

When she starred on Love Island, she made it to the final and placed third alongside her boyfriend Dami Hope.

Since making it to the finals of the summer series, Indiyah has been busy working with Boots and PrettyLittleThing.

She has also hosted the MOBO Awards, and regularly appears on Love Island: After Sun when the show airs in the summer.

Speaking about hosting the MOBOs while on Capital XTRA today, Indiyah said that she "hated" hosting the prestigious awards in her first year of presenting them.

"I remember my first year when I did MOBO’s, everyone was telling me how good I did, I hated it," she spilled.

She elaborated: "I hated it because I had no training, I felt like I went in there on the deep end, and I just felt like for such a big show I don’t want to feel so naked."

Indiyah then revealed that this year she ensured she got training, and after coming off stage following hosting, she "felt fantastic".
