Love Island: All Stars fans think they’ve caught Luca Bish and Harriett Blackmore hiding a major secret about their past.
Of all the cast on the ITV show, Luca, 25, and bombshell Harriett, 25, don’t seem to have a particularly special connection. Super fans, however, have gone sleuthing, and discovered that the two share plenty of history that they seem to be hiding.
Luca once dated Strictly Come Dancing star Saffron Barker, 24, just before he entered the Love Island villa for the first time in 2022 - and revealed that he’d known her since they were kids.
“We used to go to the same school in Brighton. I think she had just come out of a relationship. And then yeah, that was it. We just kind of hit the ground running a bit. We still remain really good mates,” he told the Metro.
Alongside Luca’s shared schooling and fling with Saffron - with the relationship only lasting a few months - Harriett was also known to be friends with the social media star.
Fans couldn’t let the information go, and went into Saffron’s old YouTube videos to see if their theories were true. Sleuths quickly found clips of them together in their youth, including Luca and Harriett on a car trip with Saffron, and both of them attending her 18th birthday party.
The amateur researchers were super confused by why the duo didn’t address their old friendship on-screen and took the clips to TikTok, where some people who claimed to know them even said that Harriett was at the same school as Saffron and Luca.
"Like they were in the same friendship group and everything,” one person captioned a video of Saffron’s old clips, with another demanding: "Why have we never seen Harriett and Luca interact even though they've been friends since they were little?"
Alongside being accused of hiding his past with Harriett, fans also think that they caught him in a lie about his type of woman, after he claimed not to be into blonde women during a chat last week.
Viewers quickly brought up Scarlett once more, pointing out that he both dated her and said he was into blondes back during his first time in Casa Amor. “Why are we surprised when Islanders say something that stretches the truth,” one person slammed.
Another raged against Luca’s pickiness altogether, writing on X, formerly known as Twitter: “It’s still a weird thing to say, like not like brunettes and blondes are two categories of human or have different cultures. So if you’ve experienced blonde hair you’ve been with a blonde but yeah Luca often says things and nobody understands why…”
As fans hone in on Scarlett, Harriett, and Luca’s connection, Scarlett herself previously seemed to omit their link while talking about their brief romance.
The star appeared on Sam Thompson and Pete Wicks’ Staying Relevant podcast, and avoided putting a label on their fling.
“To be fair, he wasn’t fully my ex. I was kind of just seeing him for a long time,” she said. Pete then suggested that they were friends with benefits, but she rebuffed: “No, we weren’t friends with benefits, but we didn’t quite get in a relationship.”
