LOVE Island producers "stepped in to stop a boy walking out in Casa Amor", claim fans after they spotted a "giveaway" clue in last night's recoupling.
Viewers are still seething from yesterday's drama in the villa, which tonight will see SIX Islanders dumped.
One person who was left single after last night's Love Island recoupling, and in danger of being dumped, is Giorgio.
Fans were left shocked when he decided to reenter the villa alone, despite only being in a friendship couple with Billykiss.
He chose to break it off with Casa Amor bombshell Yasmin, even though this would leave him at risk in the main villa.
After it was revealed that Billykiss had chose to recouple with Boris, Giorgio walked back into the villa a single man.
Asked by Maya Jama why he chose not to couple up with a Casa Amor girl, he said: "There was one girl in particular I was getting to know, yeah, but there wasn't really anyone in there. that was really 100% my type.
"This whole journey I've been honest and true to myself, and I thought bringing a girl back here would be right."
But fans at home weren't buying this, and think he was about to quit the villa, but Love Island bosses convinced him to stay.
Taking to Reddit to discuss one said: "Thinking of last night I’m assuming Giorgio wanted to walk but producers convinced him that self ejecting was a better storyline.
"I can’t understand his decision otherwise. I get 'staying true to yourself' yada yada but it a bloody dating show."
Another added: "It would have made more sense to bring her back as a friendship couple.
"Maybe he wanted to but the producers wouldn't allow it? I agree that it's definitely better than faking it and leading her on and it's good that he was honest with her... but producer intervention is the only reason I can think for him walking back in alone."
A third said: "Someone else said it but I wonder if he wanted out and the producers offered him the chance to self-eject via a dumping rather than walking just before or mid-Casa."
Another joked: "He wanted to get out so he could watch his Lioness sister in the Euros!"
BRUTAL RECOUPLING
Along with Giorgio, Emily was left single following the brutal recoupling.
Having decided to stay loyal to Tommy despite the introduction of six single hunks, Emily hoped he would return to the villa alone and welcome her into his arms.
She even told host Maya: "It’s been hard obviously I’ve missed seeing him round the villa and sharing a bed together, nice to have him back."
But it wasn't to be as Tommy turned up holding hands with Casa Amor girl Lucy.
The pair hit it off instantly in the other villa and spent lots of time snuggling up and snogging.
Emily struggled to keep her emotions in check as she muttered "oh Christ!" while stunned co-stars Meg and Helena repeatedly said "f**k off".
The show then ended on this almighty cliffhanger.
Love Island returns tonight at 9pm on ITV2.
