It's kicking off tonight in the Love Island villa, with the cast's friends and family beaming into the video via video link to cheer on the All Stars.
Tonight's episode sees Strictly Come Dancing star Saffron Barker video call Harriett Blackmore to give her a few words of advice about Ronnie Vint as the final approaches and after the recent drama with Luca Bish, she needs it more than ever.
However, after Harriett called out Luca earlier this week for failing to have her back in the villa, many viewers took to social media to ask why their previous connection hasn't been brought up on the show - particularly as they both know Strictly's Saffron - a topic that's unpacked in this week's Bombshell Briefing.
"I didn't even know they were childhood friends," one viewer wrote, while another replied: "Yeah they went to the same school and everything. Harriett's best friend is Saffron Barker who luca dated before he got with gemma on love island."
Another said: "I forgot that Harriett and Luca went to school together with Saffron Barker."
Earlier in the series, one viewer wrote: "Didn't Luca and Harriett go to school together why have we not seen them have a convo #loveisland."
Saffron previously revealed that she had a fling with Luca on Sam Thompson and Pete Wicks’ Staying Relevant podcast. She told him: "To be fair, he wasn’t fully my ex. I was kind of just seeing him for a long time. No, we weren’t friends with benefits, but we didn’t quite get in a relationship."
In this week's episode of The Mirror's Bombshell Briefing, hosts Lauren Morris and Niamh Kirk discuss why Luca and Harriett's childhood connection hasn't been explored earlier on the series.
"Do you know what I find weird? Is why no one has said about Harriett and Luca's past," Niamh says. "They were on podcasts together way before their time in the villa. But no one has ever spoken about that. But maybe that's why she's so sensitive about how Luca is being at her."
Lauren adds: "Something that has been brought up online - Luca used to date Saffron Barker of Strictly fame and she is Harriett's best friend," with Niamh continuing: "And now Luca is dating Grace who is Harriett's other best friend. Awkward!"
Debating over why Luca's connection to Saffron hasn't been brought up before, Lauren says: ""Maybe they haven't brought it up because everyone is connected in some way."
