On Love Island, the contestants were shown controversial scenes of all their antics that they might not have wanted to be shown.

This may have included private conversations about other people in the villa, flirty interactions or kisses from Casa Amor.

However, some viewers have hit out at not showing certain clips to the contestants, as they say it makes others look worse.

One fan started a thread on Reddit, titled 'Why didn’t the producers add this clip?' alongside a video.

In the clip, some of the girls - which did not include either Shakira Khan or Toni Laites - were sat in the garden as they dissected Shakira's behaviour.

Megan Moore stated to the group: "Shakira's cool and that's why she's been grafting her f****** ass off today."

However, Helena Ford interjected as she stated: "Oh no. She's gonna choose Connor, I know it."

The rest of the girls, which included Alima tried to suggest otherwise, before Helena added: "I think she fancies everyone doesn't she?

"She probably fancies the plants."

Underneath the clip, the viewer commented: "I think the producers want to give Shakira the mean girl edit."

Fans flooded the comments section of the post in agreement as they claimed that producers deliberately set up Shakira to look a certain way.

One loyal Love Island viewer fumed: "Defs mean girl edit, along with a couple others."

A second noted: "It seemed like they wanted to use the clips with ppl that are still in the villa."

"Yep this is what started everything and there’s so much more they could’ve included. Idk why they gave Shakira the bad guy edit knowing she’s so loved in the outside," stated a third fan.

While someone else wrote: "I do think they gave Shakira and Toni the mean girl edit and Helena the victim edit.

"They included her comment about the bikini but didn't include Helena and Meg wearing Shakira's bikini? Makes zero sense."

However, other viewers came to the defense of the editors behind the scenes as they accused other fans of having a potential memory lapse.

A fifth commented: "At this point shakira was literally grafting every boy, pulling them all for chats and flirting wildly with them. she was even taking another girls man to the hideaway to kiss them.

I think she [Shakira] fancies everyone doesn't she? She probably fancies the plants.

"This is such a mild clip. I don’t think u guys actually enjoy drama or love island as a show," said someone else.

And a sixth user added: "Oh pls, Meg has been given a ‘mean girl’ edit too. Shakira, Toni, Meg and Helena have all said b***** things hence why I don’t understand why people act like one group is better than the other. They’re just as bad as each other imo."
