Lorraine Kelly hits out at ‘nutter’ Wynne Evans in shock on-air rant about Strictly star’s sleaze scandal - suong

LORRAINE Kelly blasted Wynne Evans as a "nutter" as she gave her take on the shamed Strictly Come Dancing star's sleaze scandal.

The Scottish host, 65, spoke out during a small segment on Wednesday's Good Morning Britain, where she previewed her upcoming ITV daytime show.

Lorraine, known for her cheery giggle and beaming smile, took a more sombre tone as she told how her programme would feature chats with Strictly fans who had attended the current tour.

She revealed how the chats came after opera singer Wynne was axed from the live concert dates after his sexual jibe towards former BBC One show pro Janette Manrara, 41 - which was caught on both film and camera.

It has emerged how he is fighting to save his Go Compare job and BBC travel show.

On Tuesday, Wynne broke his silence on being booted off the tour and told fans: "I am deeply sorry."

Now the broadcasting veteran, who fronts her Lorraine show on most weekdays, has given her take and said he "has" to take a break from his professional duties and "think about what he's done."

She continued: "I thought come on, I just don't get it, I don't know why you would think that

"What kind of person says that anyway, but what kind of nutter does that when they are being filmed?

"Its bad enough to think it but then say it, I don't know, I don't understand it.

"I am constantly baffled."

Later, as she discussed the incident on her own show, she branded Wynne a "complete clown."

SHOW SHOCK

Wynne let slip his shock remark at the start of the Strictly live tour shows before pulling out of the Glasgow performance, citing an ankle injury.

The BBC Wales presenter was heard suggesting a threesome with mum-of-one Janette, using the derogatory term "spit roast."

It came at a photocall to launch the Strictly live tour, when the Go Compare singer reportedly made a suggestive face at actor Jamie Borthwick as Janette moved between them — which is when he allegedly made the joke.

An image shows Wynne, wearing a blue top, glancing over his right shoulder at Janette, who can be seen standing next to him gazing at the floor.

He has since issued an apology and told The Mail on Sunday: "My language was inappropriate and unacceptable, for which I sincerely apologise."

BBC and Strictly Live producers said: "We have made it clear to Wynne we do not tolerate such behaviour on tour."

At the time, Janette's spokeswoman said she had been "unaware of this comment."

Wynne was then spotted brushing off the scandal as he was seen singing on stage - despite being unable to dance.

He also shared images of his bruised ankle in a story on Instagram after his injury threw preparations for the live show into chaos.

Dad of two Wynne is sadly no stranger to a TV scandal.

Wynne previously came under fire in last year's Strictly series when he was seen groping his dance partner Katya Jones, but they dismissed it as a joke.

WYNNE'S STATEMENT

Wynne apologised for his conduct in a statement on Tuesday and said: "I've agreed with the BBC that l'll take some time out from my radio show and the Strictly Live tour, as well as my other public commitments, to prioritise my wellbeing.

"I am deeply sorry for the pain my inappropriate actions have caused, and plan to take this time for self-reflection.

"Apologies to those I won't get to see at the remaining performances and I'm grateful to my fellow tour gang for all the amazing support they have given me."

According to insiders, the incident followed “repeated warnings about his behaviour” leading show bosses to remove him from the tour.

His BBC One show partner Katya has also broken her silence on his tour exit.

Away from the reality series, the scandal has cause heartbreak in Wynne's home life.
