Lisa Vanderpump’s recent financial and business dealings are doing nothing to quell rumors that The Real Housewives of Beverly Hills alum is potentially making a move to Las Vegas.

Amid reports that Lisa and her husband, Ken Todd, are eying the Sin City as their new home, it’s been revealed that Lisa has mortgaged her iconic Beverly Hills home, Villa Rosa, up to its immaculately maintained roof.

Per The U.S. Sun, Lisa and Ken purchased the sprawling estate for just shy of $12 million in 2011. Since acquiring the property, Lisa has taken out three home loans against the property, totaling nearly $20 million, via public records obtained by the outlet.

Lisa and Ken first took out a $6,225,400 loan on the property back in May 2015 through the Banc of California. A second loan was taken out for $6,350,000 through JP Morgan Chase Bank in November of 2017, and a third and final one was taken out through Deutsche Bank Trust Company America in 2019 for the exact same amount as the 2017 loan.

Speculation of a move began last month after multiple outlets began pointing out so-called “signs” that the Vanderpump Rules matriarch and Ken were looking to sell Villa Rosa and start fresh somewhere else.

Adding fuel to the fire, Lisa recently announced she’s shutting the doors on her famous Los Angeles restaurant, PUMP Restaurant and Lounge, citing a hike in rent.

“It’s with heavy hearts that we announce that the lease at Pump Restaurant is expiring, and we will be closing its doors on July 5th, after 10 years of beautiful evenings under our olive trees,” Lisa wrote in a statement in May. “While we have loved our time operating Pump, to take on another 10-year lease with a huge increase in rent by the landlords, is not something we are ready to commit to. After successfully running 37+ establishments for many years, this type of rent is untenable.”

Lisa already owns two establishments in Las Vegas — Vanderpump Cocktail Garden and Vanderpump à Paris — so a move for the Bravo star isn’t that far of a stretch.

Podcaster Ryan Bailey claims to have inside knowledge of Lisa’s purported move, saying, “Lisa seems to always be there [in Vegas], she’s hinted at opening another place in Vegas, she let the lease go for Pump, Pump is done.”

“From all things I’ve been thrown that Villa Rosa has been sold off market, so why would she be selling her house, selling Pump, there is a little bit of play in this for me, they are getting older, Vegas is this huge opportunity, three restaurants already potentially out there…”

Speaking of restaurants, Lisa and Ken are expanding their ever-growing hospitality portfolio. It has been reported that the couple is opening a new restaurant, Wolf by Vanderpump. It will be located at Harvey’s Lake Tahoe, and it has an expected winter 2023 opening date.

“Wolf will be filled with bold and unique design, taking elements from the character and identity of the wolf itself,” Lisa said in a press release for the new eatery. “This opportunity to create a rich and indulgent space inspired by the natural beauty of Lake Tahoe was one I couldn’t resist.”

“Through our design company Vanderpump Alain, Wolf will feature stunning lighting, bespoke furniture, and epic visual statements,” she continued. “The food will be decadent, the cocktails both earthy and Instagrammable, and the entire experience is something we are thrilled to be bringing to Lake Tahoe.”

Lisa also noted that the name “Wolf” has sentimental value as it’s not only a “family name,” but it’s also “the middle name of my grandson, Teddy.”

Lake Tahoe, located in the Sierra Nevada, straddles the state lines of California and Nevada. So although it’s not Las Vegas, it is somewhat adjacent.

Perhaps Lisa is looking to add a Vegas-themed reality show to her repertoire, following the announcement of her new show, Vanderpump Villas, which will see the Vanderpump franchise go international as it follows “Lisa’s hand-picked staff as they live and work together to navigate every extravagant desire of their well-to-do guests” at her French villa.

Lisa has not commented on the speculation surrounding her move or the mortgages on Villa Rosa.
