Lisa Vanderpump is reportedly open to returning to The Real Housewives of Beverly Hills. However, when it comes to her potential role on season 12, she’s got some major demands.
According to a new report, Lisa, whose Bravo spinoff, Vanderpump Rules, has plummeted in the ratings, will only return to RHOBH if the “price is right.” And, when it comes to her salary requirements, she’s simply unwilling to make a penny less than her former best friend and co-star, Kyle Richards.
On October 15, a Bravo insider told The Sun that after Pump Rules premiered to majorly disappointing ratings, following her other also poorly-rated spinoffs, E! Network’s Overserved and Peacock’s Vanderpump Dogs, Lisa is hoping to return to the show that made her famous.
“Lisa Vanderpump wants to come back to Housewives. Between the terrible ratings with Overserved and Vanderpump Dogs and [Vanderpump Rules] crashing in ratings, she hasn’t been able to find success outside of [RHOBH] and wants to make a return,” the source explained.
However, when it comes to Lisa’s thoughts about returning, she believes she’d be doing Bravo a favor, and not the other way around.
“So she will only do it for the right price. And there is a mutual interest, the show is eyeing to get her back too. She has stayed in execs’ good graces all these years, it would make sense for her career and for their show,” the insider continued.
Although Lisa’s return would certainly be welcomed by some, including Garcelle Beauvais, who recently voiced interest in the idea, she could be too expensive for the show. After all, she’s allegedly demanding she is paid a whopping $2 million, which is more than anyone on the RHOBH cast has ever been paid.
As The Sun pointed out, Nene Leakes was rumored to be getting $2 million for her role on The Real Housewives of Atlanta and Bethenny Frankel was allegedly paid $1.5 million when she returned to The Real Housewives of New York City for season seven. However, Kyle, the only remaining member of the season one cast of RHOBH, has reportedly been making between $750,000 and $1 million for each season.
Continuing on about Lisa’s supposed season 12 demands, the source said Lisa wants a “2” in front of her paycheck, not a “1.”
“I can guarantee you this – she will absolutely not return to the show for less money than Kyle Richards is getting,” the insider added.
Part two of The Real Housewives of Beverly Hills season 11 reunion airs Wednesday, October 20, at 8/7c on Bravo.
