Gordon Ramsay Tries to Recreate Iconic Lisa Vanderpump Photo

Gordon Ramsay struck a pose just like his restaurant rival, Lisa Vanderpump.

In March 2025, the “Food Star” alum attempted a recreation of Vanderpump’s famous “couch” photo that hangs in her Las Vegas restaurant, Pinky’s by Vanderpump, but she joked that he missed the mark.

Ramsay posted two photos to Instagram, including one in which he held up a burger and fries platter while standing in his Flamingo Hotel eatery, Gordon Ramsay Burger. In a second photo, he lounged on a green couch at Pinky’s by Vanderpump. Ramsay’s pose was taken under an iconic framed portrait of Vanderpump lounging on a couch and holding one of her precious Pomeranian pups in her arms.

In the caption, Ramsay joked, “You never know what you’ll see in Vegas.” He then begged the question, “Also who did it better…me or @lisavanderpump 😂.”

Lisa Vanderpump Had a Hilarious Response to Gordon Ramsay’s Post

Many fans commented on Ramsay’s post to praise the food at his eatery.  One fan answered his question about  “who did it better” with, “I mean, it could’ve been you if you brought a dog 😂.”

But Vanderpump chimed in to compare the decor of their two restaurants, which are both located in the iconic Flamingo Hotel in Las Vegas. “Darling did you see my last post? We were nominated for best restaurant design… so I guess we did,” Vanderpump wrote.

The “Vanderpump Rules” star was referring to her recent reveal that both Pinky’s by Vanderpump and her Lake Tahoe restaurant Wolf by Vanderpump were both named Design of the Year Award finalists at the 2025 Bar & Restaurant Expo Industry Excellence Awards. Vanderpump and her design partner, Nick Alain, worked closely together on the décor for both restaurants.

Lisa Vanderpump & Gordon Ramsay Have a Playful Rivalry

Ramsay and Vanderpump are old friends and more recent reality TV rivals. In 2024, they went head-to-head as mentors on Fox’s “Food Stars.” At the time, Vanderpump told Us Weekly she and Ramsay were both in the middle of restaurant openings. “When he first asked me to do [the show], we had a kind of playful relationship, albeit competitive because we had restaurants opposite each other, restaurants next to each other,” she said. “In fact, we’re opening a restaurant each in the Flamingo now, so, you know, off we go again.”

She also told Variety that Ramsay owed her a favor. “I’ve guested on a couple of his shows and now I’ve been in London for two months during his show. It’s about bloody time he showed up on one of mine,” she said. “Maybe we’d like to see him have his input in the kitchen on ‘Vanderpump Rules.’ I think people would appreciate that. Any time that I can get Ramsay onto my territory where I can boss him about a bit, there’s a feel-good factor for that.
