The RHOM cast member shared new details about the process of moving out of the home she shared with her ex-husband.
Lisa Hochstein is sharing more details on her journey to finding a new home amid her divorce from Lenny Hochstein.
The Real Housewives of Miami cast member started looking for a new house in Season 6, Episode 6 when she checked out a $6.9 million condo that would also require $4,100 per month in H.O.A. fees. “I don’t know what my budget is," she told Larsa Pippen as they looked around the 5,600-square-foot home.
Although the condo was stunning, it wasn't quite right for Lisa, and her search continued. In Episode 12, Lisa and her boyfriend, Jody Glidden, went to see a 5,784-square-foot house on a 21,000 square-foot-lot.
"This place is nice," Jody said. "Look how big it is."
Lisa Hochstein opens up about finding a new house after her split from Lenny Hochstein
In an interview during the episode, which aired on January 17, Lisa explained why she had kicked off the search for a new home while still navigating the details of her divorce. "Lenny and I have a court date coming up, so, basically, if the judge rules in Lenny's favor, my days in that house on Star Island are numbered," she shared.
"I'm trying to be proactive, just in case," she continued. "I want to be prepared."
Although Lisa didn't seem crazy about how the home was furnished, she noted, "My pink room would look great here. I have a great art collection that's coming with me."
Lisa explained that while the home was smaller than the one she previously shared with Lenny (see it in the video above), that wasn't a deterrent. "I love the size of this house," she said. "This is a wonderful, perfect size for me to raise my family in."
When talking about how she would pay for the $5.387 million house if she chose to move forward, Lisa admitted, "I don't know because it's really up to — ultimately Lenny's decision. This would be part of a settlement."
"I do need his support," she continued. "Because we do have two kids together, and I was married to him for so long."
