Just one week after Detroit Lions safety Brian Branch was ejected from the Lions vs Packers game by the league in New York and was subsequently fined over $20,000, Branch is getting fined once again for a hip drop tackle against the Houston Texans.

Per the NFL, the tackle happened with 20 seconds left in the third quarter.

You can see what the league was seeing there, but it still doesn't feel like the hip drop tackle the league showed to the media previous to the season.

This is Branch's fifth fine this season. Here's what the other fines looked like.

Fighting against Cardinals: $10,128
Impermissible use of helmet vs Cardinals: $10,128
Obscene gesture against Packers: $10,128
Hit to defenseless receiver against Packers: $10,128
Hip drop tackle against Texans: $10,128

The NFL is just all over Branch this season with a running total of $50,640. Man, at what point does it start to feel like it's on purpose a little?
