Lindsay Hubbard is now “stuck” with a grand piano she never wanted. The Summer House cast member explained the situation via Instagram on Sunday (June 1), more than two weeks after moving into her new NYC apartment.
Lindsay began filming a portion of her living room, saying she wanted a designated play space for her daughter, Gemma Britt Kufe. The new mom said she intended to decorate the area with House of Noa furniture pieces, but had to put those plans on pause because of the aforementioned instrument had taken up too much space.
Lindsay Hubbard says there was a "misunderstanding" with her new home
“OK, so the piano,” Lindsay said with a sigh. “If you remember, the piano was there and we moved it to the foyer because I’m trying to create Gemma’s little play area. You know what? I’m gonna show you the ‘before’ and how much the piano is taking over.”
Lindsay shared footage of the Steinway & Sons piano in front of the built-in shelving units. As shown in the Story, the piece covered a large portion of the room, which made it difficult for Lindsay to finish setting up Gemma’s play area.
“This has been an ongoing drama, and I will spare you every detail…” she wrote. “But basically there was a misunderstanding where the owner’s real estate broker thought I wanted to keep the piano (not sure why since we literally never talked about this piano ever, and the apt was listed as unfurnished)… but now I’m stuck with this massive grand piano until the owner can either sell it or store it somewhere else…"
