Lindsay Hubbard Reveals Why She Doesn't Live With Boyfriend Turner: "Trying to Pump the Brakes"-quang

Summer House's Lindsay Hubbard shared new details on her living situation with boyfriend Turner Kufe. 

During a beach outing on Summer House Season 9, Episode 5, it wasn't just the weather turning up the heat. 

After Kyle Cooke and Paige DeSorbo worked out the tension between them, and Lexi Wood started to privately side-eye Jesse Solomon over his female friendships, Lindsay Hubbard was in the hot seat as she fielded questions about her relationship with boyfriend Turner Kufe and their plans for raising their daughter.

The conversation started when Lindsay told West Wilson, "I grew up in the suburbs, so raising a child in the city is going to be different, you know what I mean?" 

When West asked if that was indeed the plan, Lindsay confirmed, "We're gonna do city for now."

West, who had asked about what kind of hobbies Lindsay expected her child to have, mused, "You get less yard, yard activity" in New York City, and that's when the truth came out about her living situation.

From Lindsay's point of view, it didn't make sense to think that far ahead when her present was so different."I mean, we don't even live together," she revealed about her boyfriend, "Let alone—"

Before she could finish that thought, longtime friend Danielle Olivera cut her off with a gasp, asking "You don't live together?" When Lindsay said they did not, Danielle repeated, "You don't live with this man."

When the app developer followed up by asking, "And he put a baby inside you?" Lindsay once again confirmed this was the case, seemingly a little less patiently this time.

"If I wasn't pregnant, we wouldn't live together right now," explained Lindsay. "We've only been dating for six months."

That didn't quite track for Danielle, who commented with a laugh, "I mean, I've done it before."

Still, the expectant mom pushed back against potential criticism. "I think the pregnancy, and having the baby, puts enough pressure on the relationship as it is. Let alone, like, living together."

"When is he gonna move in?" pressed Danielle, to which Lindsay declared, "He's not!"

When Danielle asked if Turner was "ever" going to move in, Lindsay explained, "He's gonna spend the night every single night."

Danielle asked cautiously, "How do you know if he's suitable for you if you don't live live with him?" To that, Lindsay replied, "We'll move in together when it feels, like, normal for a normal relationship."

In her interview, Danielle expanded on her line of thinking, explaining that she saw Turner's separate apartment as a potential sign that the relationship wasn't as rosy as her longtime friend was saying.

On the beach, the conversation continued, with Lindsay asking, "Why would we have to live together, like, when he lives literally so close to me?" 

Danielle said that she thought the physical distance means Lindsay's partner "has an out," if he so chose, something Lindsay vehemently denied.

During her own interview, Lindsay asked, "Why is she shocked that Turner and I don't live together?"

"I'm doing it the right way, for once and not moving too fast," she continued, "Yes, we are here, and I am pregnant, but I'm trying to pump the brakes on every other department to keep the pressure off. Because being pregnant and having a baby is a lot of pressure on a new relationship!"

"Also," said the influencer, "What if things don't work out with Turner? I'm sorry! What I have learned is nothing is guaranteed."

"So let's just be realistic and practical for once," she finished in the interview.

Back on the beach, she explained the many ways in which Turner was involved with the pregnancy — including finding a nanny and a doula — which relieved Danielle of some of her anxieties.

At the very least, it ended an intense conversation.
