Lindsay Hubbard and West Wilson have a fun friendship. No, they are not feuding. She got him cast on Summer House as a new addition for Season 8. The sports reporter fondly recalled Lindsay mothering him at times during Season 9 when she was pregnant.
They hang out off camera as well. And in a recent interview, Lindsay and West recalled a conversation from the early days in their friendship. Ever the publicist, Lindsay took innovative pains to protect a seemingly amazing idea that the duo discussed at the time.
West told Julia Cunningham that the incident happened at a night out. The Summer House stars talked “about making a podcast” and “came up with a podcast idea” while under the influence of alcohol.
Lindsay felt it was an idea worth protecting. And being that West “worked at Bleacher Report at the time,” she made him “sign a bar napkin” swearing him to secrecy.
“She was like, ‘If you steal this and take it to Bleacher Report, I’ll fuck you up,’ and she made me sign a bar napkin at the bar,” West revealed.
The reality TV star continued, “And she wrote like, I put a space for my name and then said like, ‘Won’t take Lindsay’s podcast idea to Bleacher Report whatever,’ and then like had me sign my name. We probably took a blood oath, but after now knowing Lindsay, it’s the most insane meet story ever. Literally signed a bar napkin contract day we met.”
Lindsay confirmed that she indeed “made him sign a contract” at their first meeting. Then they didn’t speak again “for a year.” She explained, “Literally, I went on with my life, you know, doing whatever I was doing, planning a wedding, engaged to Carl [Radke], blah, blah, blah, and then like casting came around.”
When Lindsay heard that West was on board for Season 8, she recalled the napkin incident. She quipped of the recollection, “Wait, I know this guy.”
“Meanwhile I have not spoken to him in a year. I said that night that I made him sign a contract with me and I submitted him to casting. They wind up reaching out and he then reached out to me and he was like, ‘Is there something you want to tell me?’ ’cause I completely forgot to tell him,” the veteran Bravolebrity concluded.
Both Lindsay and West are returning to Summer House for Season 10.
