Lexi Wood is sharing new details about the seriousness of her romance with Jesse Solomon prior to “Toe Gate,” which saw him getting his toe sucked amid a threesome involving Imrul Hassan and two other women.
After Wednesday’s episode of Summer House, Lexi, 27, explained why she was so devastated to learn about the incident involving Jesse, 31, as Jesse admitted to being out of line with his behavior. Plus, their castmates, including Ciara Miller, 29, Paige DeSorbo, 32, West Wilson, 29, and Amanda Batula, 33, weighed in.
Although her co-stars “made light” of Jesse’s antics with Imrul and his women, Lexi felt confused by the matter since she wasn’t present when it went down.
“[And] when I talked to Paige at kickball and she was like, ‘Literally, you guys aren’t even exclusive. What’s the big deal?’ And I’m like, yeah we are, just because you guys weren’t there during the conversations, like, he’s been obsessed since day one saying that we’re exclusive, and this is the first day Jesse told me he loved me and called me his girlfirend,” she explained on the April 2 episode of the Summer House: After Show.
Upon learning of Jesse’s actions, Lexi admitted, “I went home sobbing.”
“I appreciate that our friends told me. [Because] he completely left out that he entered the room, sat on the bed, got his toe sucked,” she added. “[He had] intention.”
As for why he didn’t immediately tell Lexi what happened, Jesse said, “I didn’t want her to know.”
“It was a little deceptive,” he admitted, adding that he was further deterred from coming clean due to his flirtation with Ciara and the friction it had caused.
“Just strategically, I was like, if I can get some distance between it happening and, like, telling her, I’ll be in a much better spot,” he reasoned. “It happened at the same time as people saying I was being really flirty with Ciara. And I thought that was an actual serious thing she would care about, and I didn’t think our relationship could handle all that pressure at once.”
“Should I have told Lexi about it? Yes. Because it was an inappropriate thing to do,” he added.
And his castmates agreed, with Ciara saying, “He should’ve just went in full-fledged and owned it,” and Paige agreeing, “He should’ve owned it and been like, ‘It was hilarious. It was not sexual.’”
During another segment of the Summer House: After Show, Lexi discussed her requirements for her relationship with Jesse.
“I told him, I was like, look it, I’m like an old-school girl, as much as you’re telling me you’re exclusive with me, I want like a little prom-posal type vibe. He told me as soon as we met, we were exclusive. He like wanted me to go to his family reunion with him the week that we met. It was like a whole thing,” she revealed.
Meanwhile, Jesse explained, “I don’t like girls often, but when I do… I didn’t want her hooking up with other people, that’s for sure.”
According to Jesse, becoming exclusive was the natural progression of their relationship.
“I saw [West] and Ciara all last summer, and I was like, ‘I want that,’” he admitted.
“It’s nice to have someone, like, be your person,” West replied.
Also speaking of the matter, Paige said, “I think he did like her and was like, ‘This is gonna be my girlfriend.’ Was it 100 percent motivated by sleeping with her? Maybe not 100 percent, but that was definitely a motivation.”
Then, Amanda noted, “His options were to be exclusive with her and have sex with her or not to talk to her at all. What would you do?”
“I love a perplexed man, but he was really like… [in a pretzel],” Ciara replied.
