The couple are "actively trying" to have a baby together, Lateasha Lunceford told The Daily Dish ahead of the Married to Medicine Season 10 premiere.
Dr. Gregory’s new bride is giving the ladies of Married to Medicine a taste of Sweet Tea as she joins the Season 10 cast.
Before the season premiere on November 5, Lateasha Lunceford, nicknamed Sweet Tea, opened up about the show documenting her trip down the aisle to marry Dr. G and shared more of their love story to The Daily Dish.
How did Dr. Gregory and his new wife Lateasha Lunceford meet?
The pair met on Instagram after Lateasha made the first move by sliding into his DMs.
“I said what’s up and he responded and from there you know FaceTime calls...that turned into a flight to Atlanta, and we met, and we hit it off,” Lateasha said.
Although, Lateasha only knew “a little bit about [Married to Medicine],” some friends told her about Gregory.
“I knew he wanted a family, and I was ready for a family,” she said.
Dr. Gregory, a psychiatrist, was previously married to Quad Webb and divorced in 2019. The new couple's big day will be shown in the upcoming season along with the “ups and downs” of wedding planning, Lateasha teased. The wedding is the source of a lot of her stress this season. “I turn into a Bridezilla,” she joked.
“It was very, very stressful,” she added. “Filming and planning a wedding, and of course I had a lot of hardships ... obstacles with my wedding planner.”
But the newlyweds entered into a honeymoon phase after their April nuptials.
“I’m enjoying being married, just coming home, having someone there to come home to, taking care of somebody, somebody taking care of you,” Lateasha said. “It feels great.”
As a new cast member herself, Lateasha said it’s been really fun hanging out with the other ladies of Married to Medicine.
“We already had a relationship prior to me joining the show, somewhat, but we're just a lot more closer,” she said. “We faced a lot of hardships when we all were in the same room and, you know, of course, old history with Gregory started to resurface so that was kind of rough to deal with.
“I went through just trying to get along with this group of ladies,” she added. “Just trying to help them also navigate through whether they should keep [Quad] as a friend or not.”
Do Dr. Gregory or Lateasha Lunceford have any kids?
The couple currently don’t have children together (nor from his previous marriage), but Lateasha told The Daily Dish they’re planning to.
She opened up about their desire to have children, saying they’re actively trying to have a family. Lateasha also shared she had surgery this past summer due to endometriosis.
"I had surgery back in August so now we’re, you know, we’re good to go,” Lateasha said. “I’m praying for a healthy baby.”
