Las Vegas Raiders named as a potential destination for the disgruntled $24 million star seeking a fresh start - suong

Garrett WilsonThe Las Vegas Raiders need some more weapons on the offense, especially if they are going to have trouble drafting another quarterback. The team traded star receiver Davante Adams to the New York Jets this season, leaving the door open for a new true star wide receiver.

According to Bleacher Report's Alex Kay, the Raiders could end up circling back to New York and making a move for a frustrated young star.

Las Vegas is listed as one of five hypothetical landing spot for Jets star receiver Garrett Wilson this offseason. Wilson has shown his frustrations with Aaron Rodgers and New York this season, which has led to several rumors of the star parting ways after the 2024 season.

"...The Raiders need to find an elite young talent to serve as a foundational piece of their receiving corps, a role Wilson would be perfectly suited to fill," wrote Kay. "At just 24 years of age, he has plenty of good years ahead of him and could be around for the long haul alongside breakout rookie Brock Bowers..."

After parting ways with Adams, Jakobi Meyers is the only receiver left who is worth noting on the Raiders' roster. Wilson, whose contract will see him get around $24 million a year, would serve as a huge help for the offense, who has been ranked near the bottom in every category this year.

While the team would still need to figure out their quarterback situation, bringing in Wilson could make them more attractive to upcoming free agents like Justin Fields, and potentially Kirk Cousins if the Falcons decide to roll with Michael Penix Jr.
