"It was not a good situation for me and my family," Larsa said in the season 7 premiere of 'The Real Housewives of Miami'
Larsa Pippen put her family first.
In the season 7 premiere of The Real Housewives of Miami, Larsa, 50, opened up about why her third split from Marcus Jordan finally stuck. Reflecting on her on-and-off relationship with the 34-year-old, Larsa credited her children with giving her the strength to leave.
“I’m kind of used to being alone now,” she told her mom, who was in town visiting. “Especially if you’re with the wrong person, it’s definitely better to be by yourself. You know what’s crazy? When I was with Marcus, my kids were like, ‘Stop getting back together and breaking up, and just get off the ride.’ That’s when I was like, I need to get away from the situation — my kids think that it’s not good for me.”
“We went from really being in love, getting along, to me seeing a side of him that didn’t really align with who I am as a person,” she continued. “When we would go out, he would like to be the very last person in the club. Like, I mean, there’s no one there but the janitors.”

Larsa grew emotional thinking about how much she put her family through during the toxic relationship.
When their breakup became public, Larsa — who shares sons Scotty Jr., 24, Preston, 23, and Justin, 20, and daughter Sophia, 16, with ex-husband of 19 years Scottie Pippen — said “everyone” began calling her and talking about the situation, which was “stressful” for her entire family.
“I’m done, I just want to go to bed,” she cried, while her mom held her. “I don’t want to have to address it. It’s so embarrassing.”
“Just all of it,” she further explained in her confessional. “I fought everyone to be with this guy, and then it was not a good situation for me and my family, so I had to remove myself from it. But doing what’s best for me and my family ended up pissing him off so bad that he’d send me really bad messages and reach out to my friends and say hurtful things about me, and it was just bad.”
Larsa and Marcus began dating in January 2023 before calling it quits in February 2024. They quickly got back together, but again broke up the following month. After one more reconciliation, they split for the last time in July 2024.
“It’s really hurtful that he’s talking s--- about me publicly,” Larsa confessed. “It’s fucked up because I’ve done nothing but be nice to him and be there for him and all of his stupid f------ issues.”

Larsa Pippen and Marcus Jordan.
Larsa explained that she does not want any connection to Marcus, which is the root of her issues with a fellow cast member.
Since she’s been single, Larsa emphasized the importance of not allowing her ex back in her life. This, however, has caused tension in her friendship with Lisa Hochstein, whose boyfriend, Jody Glidden, has maintained communication with Marcus even after the breakup.
“That’s really what annoys me a lot, the Lisa thing,” Larsa said. “Because like, if I tell my friends I'm going through a lot with this person and I just want to move forward and remove a toxic person from my life, and you can’t understand that as my friend. I feel like that’s kind of why I’m mad at her.”
Later in the episode, Lisa explained that the couple’s rocky past made her feel confused about how to approach the conflict.
“The thing with them is, they go from breaking up to making up, to breaking up,” she said. “I just felt like, I don't need to make him an enemy.”
Season 7 of The Real Housewives of Miami premieres Wednesday, June 11 at 9 p.m. ET/PT on Bravo and will be available to stream the next day on Peacock.
