Lala Kent Insists She Didn’t Move From West Hollywood to the Valley to Be on ‘The Valley’: “I’m Pretty Obsessed With It Over Here” - lulu

“What a crazy coincidence, right?!”

Lala Kent is slated to appear in several episodes of the upcoming season of The Valley, but the former SUR hostess insists that moving to the San Fernando Valley had nothing to do with her role on the Vanderpump Rules spinoff.

“People think I moved to the Valley to be on ‘The Valley,’” Lala recently told Forbes. “You have to have such a large budget to be anywhere else in Los Angeles County and still be able to commute over the hill into the city!”

Prior to purchasing the 4,103 square-foot home (for more than $3 million), the former ‘Vanderpump Rules’ star was living in “a very large apartment complex near West Hollywood.” She now resides in her 1947-built home with her two children, Ocean and Sosa, and mom, Lisa Burningham. Lala’s brother and Give Them Lala podcast co-host, Easton Burningham, lives in a guest house on the property along with a roommate.

“I’m pretty obsessed with it over here,” Lala says of relocating to the Valley. “Now, every time I cross over, I tell myself, ‘You’re going to get back.’ It’s relaxing.”

While Lala insists that her move to the Valley had nothing to do with her being on ‘The Valley,’ she told the outlet that there was “something about this” house that “just stole my heart.”

“I couldn’t pinpoint exactly what it was, but I immediately pictured my kids playing here, hosting people by the pool,” she explained. “In other homes, as beautiful as they were, I just couldn’t see those moments. Even before Sosa arrived, I could already imagine what she would look like in this home.”

As Bravo fans may remember, Lala revealed on an episode of Scheana Shay’s Scheananigans podcast in March 2023 that she had purchased a home in Palm Springs, which she presumably still owns. (Scheana– who will also be making appearances on the upcoming season of ‘The Valley,’ has owned her vacation home in Palm Springs since 2019.)

“I just bought a house next to you,” Lala said on the episode, to which Scheana replied, “This b***h just bought a house right next door to me.”

Scheana, after seeing her “bast frand” Lala rolling up to the house next door with a moving truck…

Lala, who was born and raised in Salt Lake City, Utah, revealed during an Instagram Q&A in 2022 that she was “planning on getting a place in Utah soon.” She also posted on Instagram later that year that she wanted to move to New York, though it seems she is sticking to California for now.

Season 2 of ‘The Valley’ premieres April 15 on Bravo.
