Annie Kilner is due in court today as she has been accused of a driving offence. The wife of footballer Kyle Walker is facing claims of not being in control of a £70,000 Mercedes.
She was stopped by police on July 8 last year in Cheshire as Kyle prepared for the Euros. The charge states the driver was “in such a position that she could not have proper control of the car”.
It is unclear what Annie is accused of doing but the 32-year-old was also charged with using a phone behind the wheel. However, that charge has been withdrawn.
The charge is made when a driver is said to be “in a position which does not give proper control or a full view of the road”. It can include drinking or eating when driving, adjusting the sat nav or changing music on a car's touchscreen.
She denied the driving charge in November and is due to appear at Chester magistrates court today. If convicted, Annie faces three penalty points on her driving license and a fine. Her hearing will take place hours before Kyle plays for England at Wembley.
Annie's alleged offence came just months after she welcomed her fourth child with the footballer and two days before the England squad flew to Germany. At the start of last year, Annie had discovered Kyle had fathered a second child with influencer Lauryn Goodman.
In January, the Mirror revealed that the couple had put their "divorce" on the back burner and were keen to focus on their marriage. It was said in October that Annie was allegedly fighting to get half of Kyle's eye-watering £27 million fortune.
The pair married in 2022 after a 12 year relationship, having met as teenagers in their hometown. Cheshire sources close to the couple revealed to the Mirror that any speculation that Annie was staying with Kyle for his finances are "nonsense."
"Any suggestion that Annie is staying with Kyle for financial benefit is absolute nonsense and pure speculation," our source told us. They went on to add: "The couple are still navigating their relationship behind the scenes but will always come together to be there for their children who they both absolutely adore."
Annie appeared to be dealt another blow after Kyle was snapped partying until the early hours with two women in Milan. The couple haven’t had an easy ride over the years, after Kyle fathered two children with Lauryn Goodman. He first had a fling with the influencer while Kyle and Annie were on a break in 2019, which led to Lauryn falling pregnant with son Kairo.
Kyle and Annie quickly rekindled their relationship and appeared united, but it was revealed in January 2024 that he had been unfaithful with Lauryn, 34, and fathered her second child, daughter Kinara.
Currently, Kyle is on loan from his home team Manchester City and is playing for Italian side AC Milan, meaning Annie and the children have been making visits from the UK to support him. But earlier this month, just hours after his wife returned to Britain from visiting Kyle with their brood during the school holidays, he was spotted partying with two mystery women at one of the city’s top nightclubs Tocqueville 13 until 4am.
However, a source later cleared up any speculation, claiming that their relationship was purely platonic and that both women have long-term partners. The mum-of-four is standing by her man and the couple are giving their marriage another go.
But the WAG has made it clear that Kyle, 34, needs to stay on the straight and narrow. “Annie has decided she’s going to give it another go but he needs to realise he has to be incredibly careful because even the most innocent things can come back to bite him,” they claimed to OK!.
