The Real Housewives of Beverly Hills cast member Kyle Richards has fond memories of her life with her father, Kenneth Richards. While she doesn't often share details about her dad, when she does, Kyle's memories of her childhood with Kenneth are warm and fuzzy.
Kenneth's marriage to Kyle's mom, Kathleen, was his second. Kyle's father had three children from that first marriage. Kenneth and Kathleen later had Kyle and Kim Richards together, and he adopted their older sister, Kathy Hilton. Kyle reflected on her family tree alongside a throwback photo of her and her dad several years back.
"One more pic of my Dad," she shared in an Instagram post in 2017. "I was my Dad's 6th child. He was already a grandfather when I was born. He was a pro at being a Daddy."
More recently, Kyle shared a photo on her Instagram Stories that featured her dad, her sisters, and her mom. "I love this picture of my sisters and me with our Dad on Christmas morning," she captioned the throwback family snapshot.

Kenneth Richards was a retired lieutenant colonel. He passed away in 1998. In another throwback post about her dad, Kyle shed more details about her parent alonside a photo of him.
"My Dad Ken so handsome and smart. Loved to cook and taught us how to. He also loved cars. He was the kind of Dad that would ask what we wanted to do and if we said 'camping,' He would say 'ok, come on, let's go,'" she recalled. "No matter what we said he would drop everything and take us."

Kathleen and Ken Richards separated in 1972 after marrying in the 1960s. (Kyle's mom, Kathleen, later remarried. She passed away in 2002 from breast cancer.)
In 2019, Kyle explained why her parents named her, well, Kyle. "I was named after Kyle Rote, a football player," she explained at the time, adding her mom and dad thought she was going to be a boy. Kyle Rote Sr. played for the New York Giants from 1951 to 1961 as a receiver.
