Kyle Richards revealed what it’s really like to share a roof with Teddi Mellencamp.
The Real Housewives of Beverly Hills mom addressed the topic during a recent interview with The Hollywood Reporter, more than a month after Teddi first confirmed she was living with Kyle on a part-time basis amid her split from Edwin Arroyave.
“Right now she’s with her kids and my friend asked, ‘When do you get Teddi back? It’s like you have custody of Teddi!’” Kyle said in the interview published by the publication earlier this month. “So, I have custody of Teddi! We laugh, we’re like, Erika [Jayne], could move in here, too! Why would I have this house and all this space and not have my friend? [Teddi] was looking for something and I’m right down the street with this guest house and all this space upstairs. I think this could be a show in itself!”
Kyle opens up about her homelife following Mauricio split
Kyle said she had no qualms about welcoming Teddi into her seven-bedroom Encino abode, which she purchased in 2018 with her now-estranged husband, Mauricio Umansky. The Housewife spoke about her new living situation in the RHOBH Season 14 premiere (November 19, 2024), admitting her home became “really quiet” once Mauricio moved out earlier that year.
“Mau moved out about a week or two ago,” Kyle said in an episode interview. “Alexia [Umansky] also moved out. Having both of them move out back-to-back was very difficult, to say the least. Mau was living in a house with all women. Whenever something needed to be done, he was the only guy. I don’t know how to turn on the TV properly. I don’t know how to get on the music, the pool heater, the pool light, and I don’t do rain gutters and stuff. I didn’t even know what one was until like a week ago.”
Kyle now shares the house with her two youngest daughters, Sophia Umansky and Portia Umansky.
