Kyle Richards Shares New Details on Text Drama With Dorit & PK That “No One’s Mentioning,” Plus She Reacts to Rumors of Lisa Vanderpump Returning to RHOBH & Talks Feeling “Ambushed” by Costars

Season 14 of The Real Housewives of Beverly Hills has quite a bit going on. Not only are there new faces, but most of the ladies on the cast this season either have compelling things going on in their lives or are just fun to watch. Kyle Richards is at the center of much of the drama thanks to her personal life and her ongoing friction with Dorit Kemsley, who might be this season’s MVP.

Now, Kyle is opening up about why she’s not watching the show, her past with Lisa Vanderpump, and who she would bring back if she could.

As fans know, Dorit and Kyle’s relationship has been strained for quite some time now. Things worsened between the two when Dorit learned that Kyle had been texting Paul ‘PK’ Kemsley despite their split. Much of this has left Erika Jayne in the middle of the drama. 

Recently, Kyle hosted one of her Amazon Live sessions. For the most part, this is when she shares what Amazon products she’s been using recently. She also takes viewer questions, and a few of them had to do with RHOBH. 

First, Kyle discussed watching the show. She said on January 21, “Tonight is The Real Housewives of Beverly Hills, and I have to be honest, I have not watched three episodes now. It’s not good for my anxiety, and it’s been really frustrating and hard to watch. I felt like every time I watched and went into the group, I was ambushed.”

She went on, “Starting right out of the gate, it was not fun going to Sutton’s party, and Dorit and I got into that. Every time I went into a setting, I felt like that. Even people I thought were my friends, I had to question. I was honestly depressed at that time; I really was, and I wasn’t used to being depressed.”

Kyle then shared new details about the text drama as she said that she actually reached out to both Dorit and PK during the separation, but none of the cast seemed to acknowledge that. She also said that people texted her and Mauricio Umansky during their separation, and they both appreciated the gesture. 

“So they’re making it seem like, ‘Oh, Kyle’s not telling the truth. She said she just sent memes,’” Kyle shared. “I told everybody I sent both Dorit and PK a text when their separation was announced. And that’s what I thought a good friend would do. But no one’s mentioning that I also texted Dorit, which I find very interesting.”

The live continued, and a viewer commented that they believed Kyle and Lisa had issues because of misunderstandings related to their cultural differences. Kyle responded, “Yes, but I also think she used that as an excuse a lot.”

The RHOBH star then discussed having walked out of Bozoma Saint John‘s event in a recent episode. She admitted, “I’m not proud of how I handled that, but I don’t regret walking out because I was not capable of dealing with that in my life at that point. I honestly was at a breaking point, and that was it.”

She continued, “When you’re going through a lot in your life, you go and you hang out with your friends to feel better. Our lives are being followed, so it’s a different circumstance, but I still thought I would feel supported in some way, and I was hurt. I couldn’t handle being ambushed.”

Kyle then said, “Usually, I’m tougher than that, but I just wasn’t. I had to leave.”

She also brought up what Sutton Stracke had to say about her decision to leave. According to Kyle, “And I know that Sutton was giving me a lot of grief for walking out. All I’m going to say about that is I have not walked off from filming in all the years I’ve been on the show. She has walked out many times.”

Another viewer later commented that the cast wanted to get a reaction out of Kyle. She responded, “Well, I fell for it. Hook, line, and sinker.”

The topic of Lisa returning to the show also came up, as this has been speculated about as of late. Her response was, “I feel like that’s something that always gets thrown out there now and then, usually by her. I don’t know.”

Later, someone asked Kyle who she would bring back to the show if she could. Though many fans would disagree, she said she would bring back Teddi Mellencamp. Additionally, Kyle said she has several television products that she can’t wait to discuss and that she’s considering writing a new book.
