Kyle Richards revealed that she had to say goodbye to a beloved member of her family over the weekend.
The 56-year-old Real Housewives Of Beverly Hills star shared on Instagram on Saturday that her beloved dog River had died the day before.
In a tear-inducing post, Kyle — who recently shared fears about her daughter Sophia's rapid weight loss — recalled how she only intended to temporarily foster the German Shepherd, before she fell in love with her.
She filled her post with adorable photos of the loyal pooch, showing how entwined she was in the lives of Kyle and her children.
'Yesterday we said goodbye to River 💔 The most loyal dog I have ever known,' she wrote.
'River was a foster fail that was so grateful for being rescued and never left my side,' Kyle recalled. 'She would wait in the window until I got home every day. Sit on the bath mat while I showered. Slept in my room making sure I was always in sight.'

The most difficult photo of Kyle's post was the one she saved for last — a somber tableau showing the reality star and her family gathered around their longtime companion in her final moments.
'We all spent the day outside with her and her siblings. We made a circle around her and as difficult as it was to move her back legs, she went up to each of us to nuzzle,' Kyle shared.
She added that River was 'surrounded by so much love and went peacefully' at the end.
Kyle boasted that her dog had lived to the ripe old age of 15 before her health issues became overwhelming.
'I’m grateful she’s at peace and no longer suffering but her absence will no doubt be painful,' she wrote.
'We love you River 💔,' she concluded, before adding a hashtag urging her fans and followers to '#adoptdontshop,' just as she did.
In her slideshow, the reality star painted a portrait of a dog that had led a full life with plenty of animal friends and human admirers.
Kyle and River showed off their special relationship in several images, including a photo in which the dog nuzzled Kyle's face just after she had done her makeup.
