Kyle Richards Reacts to Sutton Stracke's Claim She Tried to "Hook Up" with Kevin Costner

The RHOBH mom dismissed Sutton's comments as "a joke."

Kyle Richards has set the record straight on her connection to Kevin Costner.

Fresh off The Real Housewives of Beverly Hills Season 14 premiere, Sutton Stracke caused a bit of a stir when she claimed Kyle had tried shooting her shot with the Yellowstone actor. 

“Kyle and I had this conversation. She was in Aspen and Kevin Costner was there, and she was, like, trying to hook up with Kevin Costner,” Sutton said on The Real Housewives of Beverly Hills After Show (November 19). “She really was. I was, like, wait a minute...”

Kyle was asked about the comments during a recent chat with TMZ, insisting there was “zero truth” to Sutton’s story.

“That is definitely not true. I think she was just joking,” she said before boarding a flight at LAX. “[Kevin] lives in Aspen. I have a home in Aspen, too. I’ve only met him two times and talked to him for maybe one minute. That’s the max. That it is. That is the end of that story.”

The Housewife said she was a fan of Kevin’s Yellowstone series and admitted he was attractive; however, Kyle maintained there was no romantic connection.

“He’s obviously a good-looking man but that story’s just not true. It’s just not,” she continued. “She’s joking. That’s all I’m gonna say about that. She had to be joking.”

Speculation about Kyle’s love life began circulating after her split from Mauricio Umansky. While speaking to Extra this month, Kyle maintained she had not re-entered the dating scene, unlike her estranged husband, who was photographed kissing another person back in July.

“I would have to leave my house in order to do that,” she said about dating. “You will not see me on any dating apps. And people have tried to set me up, but I just have declined.”

Kyle shed more light on her marriage during Bravo Fan Fest in Miami, explaining why she and Mauricio didn’t announce their separation until the summer of 2023.

“For me, I was in a situation where, last year, Mauricio was not prepared to talk about that yet,” she told the crowd about their Season 13 dynamic. “So you can see it and feel it, but he wasn’t comfortable sharing it, as you guys may have seen. Definitely felt the strange energy between us, so that was very difficult to navigate through that.”

Although the separation wasn’t easy, Kyle reassured fans she was doing well and in a much “better place” than when she was filming Season 14.

“It was a very emotional season,” she said before touching on her and Mauricio’s living situation. “I had come home from Coachella and [Mauricio] had moved out on that Sunday and I had not realized… It was very hard for me. It was really sad. It was a very big adjustment.”
