While many of the show’s old cast has left like Lisa Vanderpump, they still keep in touch with what’s happening in the lives of their former cast mates. In fact, the 64-year-old even opened up about the separation of Kyle Richards and her estranged husband, Mauricio Umansky. However, that did not sit well with the Halloween Ends actress.
Lisa Vanderpump’s comments on Kyle Richards’ marriage
Since the beginning of The Real Housewives of Beverly Hills, Kyle Richards and Lisa Vanderpump’s relationship has been one of the most iconic and complicated dynamics on the show. While the two had once been the best of friends, constant head-butting and snide comments led to a rather sad fallout. While the English actress left the show following its 9th season, she slyly addressed the 55-year-old’s recent split on an episode of the Call Her Daddy podcast.
Anybody that says, ‘Oh, he’s my perfect love’ and ‘They’re my king. My this, my that.’ I mean, f**k off. It’s your husband, get real.
Vanderpump continued, “Then, suddenly, they get divorced. But they’ve been saying, ‘Oh, love bean. Oh, my king. Oh, my this. Oh, my that.’ Life’s not like that.” Although Vanderpump did not name names, some of her comments about nicknames ended up giving away who she was talking about. After all, Richards and her husband, Mauricio Umansky had regularly used the name “love bean” on the reality show.
Vanderpump may have only shared her opinion on Richards and Umansky’s marriage. However, the 55-year-old ended up shooting back and threatening to air her dirty laundry.
Kyle Richards slams Lisa Vanderpump’s comments on her marriage
Days after Lisa Vanderpump’s podcast appearance, Kyle Richards slammed her former co-star for getting involved in her private business with her estranged husband, Mauricio Umansky. During her Amazon Live segment, the mom of 4 shared just how unhappy she was with the Vanderpump Rules’ executive producer. After all, their friendship had ended years earlier following the puppygate scandal and years of drama with Brandi Glanville.
[Vanderpump] was trying to imply that when I was showing myself being happy, that I actually wasn’t, which is an absolute lie and she knows that.
Richards continued,
“It’s so funny how Lisa loves to do these kinds of jabs and then does the, ‘I’m not saying.’ You know, this is always what she’s done … it’s very classic LVP. I’m actually happy to talk about her backyard, too. I’d love to talk about that. So, if she wants to talk like that, then I’d be happy to get into it with her about her side of the street. But I don’t think she wants that.”
After all, Richards and Vanderpump have managed to stay on their own separate paths since the 64-year-old left the show back in 2019. Although five years have passed since their falling out, it looks like the former friends have no bridges left to go back to their friendship.
