Real Housewives of Beverly Hills (RHOBH) star Kyle Richards has once again addressed speculation about her relationship with Morgan Wade.
Rumours began after Richards’ separation from her husband Mauricio Umansky two years ago. Richards, 56, and Wade, 30, were then spotted on holiday together and spending more time together generally.
Richards also starred in Wade’s ‘Fall in Love with Me’ music video in which the two kissed. However, neither woman has identified publicly as LGBTQ+.
Speaking in part three of the RHOBH season 14 reunion, which aired in the US on Tuesday (15 April), Richards told Andy Cohen she had “never, ever questioned [her] sexuality,” before speculation about her relationship with Wade began, as reported by Bravo.
She continued: “When the chatter first started happening, before the music video and all that, that would never have crossed my mind. I have a very specific type. And I started thinking . . . Is this a crush? I don’t know.
“It did make me think, well, what is going on here? Ya know, maybe I’m not seeing something.”
The reality star realised she “needed to address” the rumours given the scale of speculation in the media and online. She also had to address her own “questioning” of her sexuality.
Relaying a conversation she had with her four “very supportive” daughters – Alexia, Portia, Sophia, and Farrah, – Richards said she was proud of how they reacted.
“It was a very uncomfortable, hard conversation to have. I wanted them to be always proud of me and I didn’t wanna embarrass them,” she told Cohen.
Portia, Richards recounted, “put her arms around me and she said, ‘I love you, and there’s nothing you could say that would make us not love you’.” This gave the RHOBH star “the freedom to say, OK, I can do what I want and be who I want [and do] what makes me happy, regardless of … where I end up and who I end up being with.”
After discussing Umanksy’s public romances following their separation, Richards teased, “I want to move on in that aspect, too. And I will be, very soon.”
In last week’s reunion episode, Cohen came for Richards after she remained tight-lipped over her connection with Wade, despite her appearances on the previous season of the show.
Highlighting how the two hadn’t helped themselves with the ‘Fall In Love with Me’ music video Cohen told Richards they “contributed so mightily to a conversation that was already a runaway train, and that was totally in her hands, I have to say. It’s like, at some point, you can’t have your cake and eat it too.”
In the same episode Richards expressed that she felt “guilty” about the attention Wade had been subjected to because of their connection. Asked about Wade during season 14 Richards told other cast members “there is no situation.”
Richards’ most recent comments echo those from the 2024 reunion where she spoke of “evolving” when asked about her future relationship with Wade. Asked by Cohen then about Wade, Richards said: “I don’t know what my future holds right now.”
Richards recently spoke about travelling around Europe with the “amazing” Wade, who was on tour. As per Bravo Richards said on Amazon Live: “Europe was great. I always love Paris, I love Amsterdam, I love London. I had not been to Manchester, or Scotland, or Dublin before, and everybody was so nice. They were all great. Such a different feeling in each place.”
