We've seen Kyle Richards and Dorit Kemsley's friendship hit an all-time low this season on Real Housewives of Beverly Hills. Although their friendship has been tumultuous for quite some time now, in the past couple of episodes, we've seen things go from bad to ugly between the two. At Erika Jayne's Viper Room event, the reality stars nearly got into a physical altercation, Kyle screaming with so much anger the veins were popping out of her head. Then, in the most recent episode, Kyle breaks the fourth wall, storming off the set over texts she sent to Dorit’s husband Paul “PK” Kemsley. At a time when the two should be relying on each other, they're more distant than ever.
Things have gotten so ugly, that there’s a new report alleging that Kyle is actually trying to get Dorit off of RHOBH. An insider who is allegedly close to production told OK!, “What Kyle’s doing to Dorit is really ugly. She’s trying to go around and get everyone on her side...” adding “Kyle probably is hoping by alienating Dorit that she will end up leaving the show.” Although RHOBH is known to be "Kyle's show," her plan to kick Dorit off RHOBH is going to backfire on her. First, we've seen these antics before with "Puppygate" which sent Lisa Vanderpump packing, so the production nor the viewers are going to let that happen again. Second, most of the ladies are in Dorit's corner. Maybe Kyle will be the one who's forced to leave the show instead.
Kyle Richards' Plot Seems Awfully Similar to “Puppygate”
"Puppygate" was the scandal that dominated the storyline in Season 9. And yes - one of the biggest scandals in Real Housewives history centers around a dog. Dorit adopted a dog, Lucy, from Vanderpump Dogs, but ended up giving it away to another family. Lucy's new owner also ended up giving Lucy away to a shelter, and that shelter scanned Lucy's microchip, tracking it back to Vanderpump Dogs. Although Lisa was disappointed that the dog ended up in the shelter, she wasn't mad at Dorit. Lisa tried to shut down any conversations on camera regarding the incident - but as we know, that didn't work out so well.
In the premiere of Season 9, Teddi Mellencamp and Kyle go to visit Vanderpump Dogs. John Sessa, one of Lisa's employees, brings out Lucy, saying "You don't recognize her? It's Dorit's dog. She's with us again." Lisa tried to shut down the conversation, but John kept bringing it up. Teddi already knew about the incident because she's buddies with Lisa's event manager, John Blizzard. Lisa ended up telling Dorit that Teddi knew about what had happened so that she could get ahead of it.
Andy Cohen hasn’t been subtle about his desire to see the pair join ‘RHOBH.’
Lisa Rinna was the first to accuse Vanderpump of orchestrating a set up. She thinks Vanderpump had her employees bring up "Puppygate" on camera to get Dorit mad at Kyle and Teddi. Although the ladies think Lisa orchestrated the set-up, Ken Todd, Lisa's husband, obtained texts between Teddi and John Blizzard exposing that the two had conspired for Lucy to be brought on camera that day at Vanderpump Dogs.
So what's Kyle got to do with this? Although she appeared torn on camera, she was 100% team Teddi. Kyle threw Lisa under the bus, saying "Someone dropping a dog off at a shelter would be very upsetting to Lisa. I think she'd wanted to punish a little while trying to look innocent because she wanted to protect her relationship with her at the same time." Kyle goes to Lisa's house to confront her about it, which ends in a blowout argument. Lisa kicks Kyle out of her house, and the two never spoke again. The ladies all turned against Lisa. She was driven off the show and never showed up to the reunion. I already had my suspicions that Kyle had a part in banding all the ladies against Lisa, but hearing this new report about Dorit makes me even more convinced. This is clearly what Kyle does when she gets into conflict with a castmate.
The 'RHOBH' Cast Will Be Team Dorit (For the Most Part)

Kyle’s tricks are not going to work on Dorit. Although you may be thinking - why on earth would anyone go against Kyle? The ladies are fed up with Kyle's behaviour, especially this season, and will side with Dorit. They aren't going to let what happened with Lisa Vanderpump happen again to Dorit.
It’s quite obvious new housewife Bozoma Saint John will side with her new bestie Dorit. She’s had her back the whole season regarding her separation from PK and the drama with Kyle. Although Sutton Stracke and Garcelle Beauvais are friends with Kyle, and have each had their own issues with Dorit, I think they will ultimately side with Dorit. In the latest episode of RHOBH, Garcelle and Sutton express their frustrations with Kyle for storming off, Sutton going as far as saying “I’m not going to bow down to the altar of Kyle Richards.” They are both getting fed up with Kyle’s "my way or the highway" attitude. Specifically, her inability to address Mauricio Umansky's alleged infidelity, and gaslighting everyone into thinking that her texts to PK were appropriate. Kyle can dodge certain topics on camera but the other ladies all have to talk about their lives openly? Doesn't seem fair. It also seems that Garcelle and Dorit are on the mend, the two having a touching conversation at Bozoma’s spa day.
Erika is the only housewife that's going to side with Kyle. The two have always been close, and now Erika is in a place where she's stuck between the two. After Kyle storms off at Bozoma's spa day, Erika and Dorit have a spa day of their own. Erika seems to come to Kyle's defense - and Dorit thinks she knows why. In her confessional, Dorit says, “I’ve never known Erika to be scared of anyone, but when it comes to Kyle… she’s scared.” Erika will side with Kyle out of fear because she knows how much pull Kyle has on the show.
Real Housewives of Beverly Hills may be "Kyle's show," but ultimately, the fans rule, and the audience reaction to her behavior in the past couple episodes has been overwhelmingly anti-Kyle. Getting the other ladies to turn on Dorit to alienate her enough to leave the show is mean girl behavior and the fans are certainly not having it. This is the season that the ladies finally stand up to Kyle and call out her behavior. In all honesty, she may be the one forced to leave the show.
