Kyle Richards explains why she and Mauricio Umansky have not filed for divorce: "I still owe him a large amount of money"

Kyle Richards divulged why she and Mauricio Umansky haven’t been more proactive in proceeding with a divorce.

The Real Housewives of Beverly Hills star revealed her relationship status with her estranged husband on the Housewives Nightcap.

Still separated:

Kyle explained, there “just hasn’t felt like any pressing reason to” file for divorce. “It feels big and dramatic. I wish I had a better answer, but it’s just sort of like, I don’t know.”

Kyle reminded the interviewer that Mauricio “moved out and he does his thing. I do my thing.”

The Halloween actress continued, “It’s scary to” close the marriage chapter with Mauricio. “I guess if I were to analyze this, it’s just kind of scary. But, I don’t know. I think I need a psychologist for this.”

“We have a big life, a big family together, homes. I think it’s like we’re not together, but we don’t want anything else to change.”

“Like, I’m not selling our home. He doesn’t want to sell our homes. We’re just like, you live your life. I’ll live mine. That’s it.”

Kyle and Mauricio’s new lives:

The former couple – who was married for 27 years – have started seeing other people. Both Mau and Kyle are linked to people closer to their kids’ age than theirs.

While Mauricio openly dates model Nikita Kahn, Kyle is still sneaking around with her alleged girlfriend, Morgan Wade.

Kyle’s evolution:

The OG of RHOBH spoke with her kids about her evolving sexuality. Kyle explained, “There were stories out there about me and … this did make me wonder and question myself.”

“I really never thought like this before. This is not the way I was raised. That’s not the way my mind even operated,” she says of her mental state before turning to her kids. “And all of a sudden I was thinking like that and I wanted to be as honest with [her daughters] as possible because they are my best friends.”
