Kyle Richards admits “nothing is set in stone” on daughter Alexia’s wedding plans – amid ongoing feud with Mauricio and simmering family tensions - suong

   

All eyes may have been on Alexia Umansky during her glamorous engagement party at the family's sprawling Encino estate — but for those paying closer attention, the real story was quietly unfolding between her parents: Kyle Richards and Mauricio Umansky.

Held on May 17 under twinkling chandeliers, cascading floral arrangements, and a guest list packed with Real Housewives stars past and present, the event appeared picture-perfect. But behind the curated Instagram posts and polished press shots, insiders claim that wedding planning has devolved into full-blown chaos.

Sources close to the family reveal that Alexia’s wedding preparations are in “complete disarray,” with vendors backing out, schedules constantly shifting, and “a barrage of tense emails flying back and forth” every day. Kyle, known for her perfectionist tendencies, is reportedly growing increasingly frustrated. “She likes to control every detail, but this time things are slipping through her fingers,” one insider said.

The underlying tension was especially palpable when Kyle and Mauricio appeared side-by-side during the celebration. Although both smiled for the cameras, guests who were there describe a noticeably chilly dynamic between the two. “They stood just feet apart at times but barely acknowledged each other — no whispered exchanges, no shared glances, not even a polite touch,” a guest recounted.

 

 

Even more telling, according to event staff, is that a number of behind-the-scenes photos showing ‘awkward and visibly strained’ moments between Kyle and Mauricio were intentionally pulled from the official event gallery. “This wasn’t a technical glitch — those images were deliberately cut. They didn’t look like a couple trying to make it work,” said one team member.

While Kyle has publicly downplayed the rumors, telling press that “we’re still planning everything,” the silence from Mauricio — who made only a brief appearance and remained mostly in the background — has only fueled speculation.

To date, no official wedding date has been confirmed for Alexia, and whispers continue to circulate that tensions behind the scenes — from finances to logistics to the question of who will walk Alexia down the aisle — are threatening to derail the entire celebration.
