After a terrifying home invasion when Dorit Kemsley was held at gunpoint, several of her Real Housewives of Beverly Hills co-stars rushed to her house to make sure she was OK.
Later on, Kyle Richards received a voicemail from Dorit as she appeared to be having a panic attack. In the latest episode of the show, Kyle released the audio in a confessional interview, triggering backlash from fans who felt she was exploiting Dorit’s trauma.
Recently, @CurrentEpisode posted a clip of Kyle discussing the voicemail with her friends. The post included the following theory, “Clearly the ladies could tell something was off with Dorit that day. I’m seeing people upset that Kyle played this voicemail, but there’s no way she did this without getting Dorit’s permission first.”
Kyle then wrote in the comments, “I would never play that audio without asking her first.”
As Kyle addressed the recent backlash, Bravo released an unseen clip regarding the robbery — and Sutton Stracke’s reaction to it.
In the video, Kyle confronts Sutton about her insensitive comments after Dorit’s home invasion.
At the beginning of the conversation, Kyle calls Sutton’s behavior “very different.” Sutton responded angrily, “My behavior is actually calm and cool and collected.”
In a confessional interview, Kyle wondered if Sutton even had “a beating heart right now.”
Later in the scene, Sutton threw a subtle accusation at Kyle, suggesting she excluded Sutton from the trip to Dorit’s house after the invasion.
Kyle then explained, “I didn’t make a plan. I didn’t say, ‘Guys, let’s all go and have tea with Dorit.’ She had a gun held to her head with her two children in the bed.”
Sutton seemed unfazed by Kyle’s words, and she replied cooly, “You could have said, ‘I’m gonna go see her. Why don’t you come over with me?’… I don’t know her that well.”
“I wasn’t thinking about you, Sutton,” responded Kyle. “Back up. Don’t sit there and say, ‘Oh they all made a plan. I wasn’t included.’ I wasn’t f*cking thinking about who I should call.”
Kyle expressed in the confessional that Sutton was making the issue about herself, and she said the visit wasn’t a “birthday party.”
“You’re saying my response was… ‘weird,'” continued Sutton in the conversation, using air quotes. “It’s just not what you wanted me to do.”
In Sutton’s confessional, the star expressed, “Kyle wants me to act in the way that she wants, not in the way that I want to. What does she want me to do exactly? Tell me. Is this for you, Kyle? Or is this for Dorit? I just don’t know.”
Sutton later told Kyle she would do “anything” for her friends. Kyle clapped back, “It seemed like you didn’t give a sh*t.”
New episodes of The Real Housewives of Beverly Hills air Wednesday nights at 8/7c on Bravo.
