Kyle Cooke Unveils 'Red Flag' Health Concern Amid Fertility Journey Alongside Amanda Batula - lulu

Kyle Cooke and Amanda Batula are going strong, but their plans for parenthood may be put on pause.

In a preview clip for Summer House Season 9, Episode 11 — set to air Wednesday, April 23 — the Loverboy founder can be seen pulling Vanderpump Rules alum Tom Schwartz aside for a health-related heart-to-heart. And Kyle wastes no time getting the conversation underway.

"You did a fertility test, but you went into, like, a doctor's office to do it?" he asks the former bar owner.

Schwartz, who can be seen mid-snack, confirms he saw a fertility doctor in person during his marriage to Katie Maloney.

"I had a kit sent," Kyle reveals.

"Really?" asks Schwartz, without missing a beat. "You just send it in? How does that work?"

As Kyle produces the kit — which, don't worry, he had not used yet — Carl Radke makes a perfectly timed appearance. The three friends goof about the requirements for the test, but privately, however, Kyle admits to taking it pretty seriously.

In an interview, Kyle explains what prompted his interest in getting answers ASAP.

"I just recently got a little 'red flag' on my bloodwork," he confesses, "So I'm like, alright, hey, let's make sure my boys are good." While he doesn't detail what the red flag was, it was enough to spur him into action.

"It's not that, we're like, trying to have kids," discloses Kyle, "But am I curious about fertility? Absolutely. I'm 42!"

Kyle Cooke and Amanda Batula's timeline for having kids

Schwartz proceeds to ask Kyle if he and Amanda have "set a timeline for having kids," but the Summer House cast member sort of side-steps the answer.

"I thought she wanted to have kids by now," he says of wife Amanda. But, he adds, "It's not a matter of 'if.' It's really just a matter of when."

"You're gonna be a good dad," Schwartz encourages him.

How are Kyle Cooke and Amanda Batula today?

The Summer House cast members, who wed in 2021, have been honest about navigating the challenges of their relationship — which is stronger and more communicative than ever. Though working together at Loverboy caused tension within their marriage, they've since found a healthier working relationship and are pursuing individual careers.

As chronicled on Summer House Season 9, Amanda (a trained graphic designer) launched a swimwear line with boutique brand South Moon Under. Kyle continues to pursue his DJ dreams.

Do they have kids? Maybe not yet, but dogs Reese and Ryder keep them plenty busy.
