The Summer House is getting smaller. Days after newbie Lexi Wood announced her exit, long-time star Paige DeSorbo also revealed her departure. She isn’t an OG of the series, but she’s been a fan-favorite since she joined back in Season 3. Both fans and cast members are absolutely devastated about her decision, even her now-former co-star Kyle Cooke. Which is weird considering how everything was left off between them on camera.
In Season 9, she called him out for rage-texting her over a business deal her ex Craig Conover made. This fiasco put Amanda Batula in the middle, and caused some friction in their relationship. But, Paige has once compared her friendship with Kyle to brother-sister dynamic, so it’s not a complete shocker that they’ve seemed to patch things up. Nonetheless, his reaction to her exit was still very unexpected.

Kyle and Amanda, who both are coming back for Season 10 addressed Paige’s departure. And surprisingly, her announcement actually brought him to tears.
“I knew eventually the time would come, but it still surprised me and I was sad. It didn’t really hit me until I posted about it and I clocked ‘post’ and I started crying. I’m like, ‘Oh my god,’” he told E! News.
Amanda chimed in, co-signing that her husband was in fact wrecked by Paige leaving.
“This man sobbed. He was crying uncontrollably on the couch. He had tears running down his face, he couldn’t stop crying. I was like, ‘You are fine.'”
Guess their friendship was stronger than Season 9 made it seem. It’s safe to assume he wasn’t as heartbroken over Hannah Berner leaving.
