Kristin Cavallari‘s new show, Honestly Cavallari: The Headline Tour, has been making waves as it airs weekly. The latest spectacle occurred when Craig Conover appeared in one of the latest episodes, and he was questioned about his dating timeline with Paige DeSorbo and whether there was overlap between it and the brief fling he and Kristin had.
For context, it has been confirmed that Kristin, 38, and Craig, 36, had a brief romantic encounter. However, she has said that it wasn’t serious with Craig.
Craig was one of the guests on the most recent episode of the buzzworthy E! show. When discussing how the two met, she asked him, “Did you lie to me about Paige?” The Southern Charm star seemed stunned by her bluntness, and she followed up with, “I definitely think there was a little overlap. I remember asking you, and you were like, ‘No, nothing’s going on.'”
In response, Craig said, “No, I don’t think there’s as much overlap as everyone thinks. I honestly believe we were such good friends.” He continued, “I actually am an honest person, like, I never lied to you about anything.” Craig then said, “Eventually, it just got to the point [where] Paige and I decided to date, and we stopped talking.”
From there, Kristin reflected on the situation, saying, “Once I kind of caught wind of Paige, I was like, ‘I’m gonna remove myself from this situation.'” Then, she could be seen in a confessional, admitting that she and Craig did “more than kissing.” She revealed, “How many times did I hook up with Craig? I think it was honestly like once or twice. It wasn’t that much.”
Later, she called their drama a “wake-up call,” and she explained, “It definitely made me kind of take a step back and realize that I kind of needed to reel things in a little bit.”
Things didn’t end there. Kristin was later dared to kiss Craig, but he rejected her as he was currently dating someone. Once off stage, he told Austen Kroll, “This is about the dumbest thing I’ve ever done in my life. This whole f–king thing was Paige. That was crazy.”
Kristin later joined them backstage, and he told her, “Kristin, if I wasn’t dating someone, I would have kissed you on stage, but I was like, ‘No one knows I’m dating someone.'”
In other Kristin news, she recently spoke to PEOPLE about the past drug allegations surrounding her time on The Hills. She said to the outlet, “I’ve talked about it a million times, but it’s — one of the producers bribed the girls with a Birkin bag to call me out on camera for doing drugs.”
She went on, “I just felt like that was really unfair. It got really messy. All of our lawyers got involved. I threatened to quit the show at one point. It was just really bad. And I was a young kid. I’m not saying I was perfect.”
Additionally, she now realizes how she could have handled the situation differently. According to her, “It took me years to actually take a hard look in the mirror and realize what I could have done differently to avoid that. For years, I blamed other people. And finally, when I could take accountability and ownership for that, is when I could free myself from it.”
She then said, “It’s part of my journey, but it was hard for me to go through it at the time.” Kristin also spoke to the outlet about why she returned to reality television, despite previously saying she never would.
She explained, “I know I’ve said a thousand times that I would never go back to reality TV. This worked out really well for me because I was already going on a podcast tour, and so I just thought, if cameras want to come along, I’m already doing it. It just really kind of naturally fit into my life.”
She concluded, “[It’s] the only show that I’ve done where I can say it was 100% authentic. It was real. It was the most real show I’ve ever done, and that was a really enjoyable experience.”
