Kristen Doute & Luke Broderick Reveal Why They Put Wedding Plans on Hold (EXCLUSIVE)

Kristen Doute and Luke Broderick are in no rush to get married, and for one simple reason: They're about to become parents very soon.

The Valley couple revealed as much when speaking to The Daily Dish in recent interviews, with Kristen going as far as to note that she and Luke currently have "zero wedding plans."

"We’ll probably start talking about that next year. It could happen next year," she added of their wedding. "I don’t know. I don’t want to wait too long, but I think we need to settle into being parents and this whole chapter of our lives and really know what we’re doing before we try to plan anything else."

Luke agreed, stating that their soon-to-be born baby comes "first."

"We'll see how long it takes to really get a handle on it to where we can start planning a wedding, but yeah, I try not to get too far ahead of myself," he added.

When the time for planning does come, Luke said he's happy to let Kristen take the lead. As he put it, "I planned this engagement and I put a lot of effort into it, so now as I'm passing the torch, I said, 'Let me know when you want me to pick between this and that, and I'm here for you.'"

When did Kristen Doute and Luke Broderick get engaged?

Luke proposed to Kristen in September 2024. Fans will get to see the whole thing play out on The Valley Season 2.

When is Kristen Doute's baby due?

Kristen is due to give birth to her and Luke's first child, a baby girl, on June 17, 2025.

(The date is just one week after Nia Booko and Danny Booko are expected to welcome their fourth child!)

Kristen Doute's pregnancy journey and timeline

Kristen and Luke announced her pregnancy in November 2024. A couple weeks later, they revealed that they'll be welcoming a baby girl.

Since then, the couple has been documenting their journey to becoming parents on social media as well as The Valley After Show. On the latter, Kristen admitted that her first two trimesters were "not fun."

"I was not well for the first 20 weeks," she said before noting that her hormonal changes also took a toll on Luke. "The first 20 weeks were really hard on him. He's like, 'I don't know what's wrong. You're not yourself.' And then my response is, 'No s--t I'm not myself!'"

Added Luke, "Kristen's an emotional person to begin with, and hormones fluctuating created something I wasn't entirely prepared for."

Thankfully, by the time the After Show filmed, Kristen said that the past few weeks of her pregnancy had been "lovely."
