Kristen Doute is in the process of quitting cigarettes, and she hopes that doing so will not only prepare her body for a potential future pregnancy but also extend her life.
After sharing a question on her Instagram Story, in which she asked, “If you’ve quit cigs, when did it start getting easier,” the Vanderpump Rules alum, who has been dating boyfriend Alex Menache for the past couple of years, was met with a question from a fan who wanted to know if she was getting ready to start a family.
“Good for you. Are you prepping for a baby?” they asked.
“Yes,” Kristen replied. “I [100 percent] want to prepare my body but also just to be healthy and prolong my life. I knew I would never ever smoke once I have a child. I’m also just over it.”
Back in April 2020, an Us Weekly report claimed Alex, who Kristen moved in with at the end of last year after selling her $1.3 million home, wanted to “get married and have kids soon.”
“He has been looking for a wife,” an insider told the magazine at the time.
Months later, Kristen shared an emotional post on her Instagram Story about her pregnancy concerns.
“[I am] constantly nervous about the can I or can I not get pregnant?” Kristen admitted in January 2021, noting that she’d been faced with “anxiety… of the unknown” and “of what was going on with [her] body.”
“I’m 37 and hoping to get pregnant but not this minute,” she continued. “I’ve had really off cycles lately and it’s been making me really nervous because of my age.”
Although Kristen had an appointment to see a doctor about the issue, they were unable to complete the tests needed, which made her feel “stressed out.”
Once Kristen welcomes her first child, her little boy or little girl will have plenty of Pump Rules friends to play with. After all, a number of her former castmates, including Stassi Schroeder, Lala Kent, Brittany Cartwright, and Scheana Shay, welcomed their first children in 2020.
