Kristen Doute applauds Katie Maloney for going after Lala Kent on ‘Pump Rules’ after ‘surprising’ fallout

Kristen Doute can’t blame Katie Maloney for clapping back at Lala Kent on the latest episode of “Vanderpump Rules.”

“Katie and I are still friends and I don’t know exactly where she and Lala are in the moment,” the Bravolebrity, 41, exclusively told Page Six during the premiere party for her new reality show, “The Valley,” at Jax’s Studio City.

Doute was referencing an explosive showdown between Maloney, 37, and Kent, 33, that took place during an astrology party hosted by fellow “Pump Rules” star Ally Lewber which aired March 12.

The ladies clashed while discussing the comparisons between “Scandoval” — Tom Sandoval’s infidelity scandal that upended now-ex Ariana Madix’s life — and Kent’s troublesome relationship with ex-fiancé Randall Emmett.

Notably, Kent shares daughter Ocean, 3, with the disgraced film producer who’s faced a litany of sordid allegations, ranging from casting couch propositions to sending unsolicited messages to women about sex and drugs. (Emmett has denied such accusations.)Katie Maloney

“Say it with your whole best, bitch. Let it go,” Maloney told Kent, who replied, “Excuse me, do not f—king talk to me like that. I’m telling you something; you don’t want it with me.”

Maloney then told Kent she feels her issue “always has to be bigger, better [and] more important” — a sentiment the latter vehemently disagreed with.

The heated interaction occurred after the women had a secret falling out in March 2023, just before the “Pump Rules” Season 10 reunion taped. Ariana Madix, Katie Maloney, Lala Kent and Scheana Shay

“It may be talked about [at] some point in time, I don’t know, I’m not going to talk about it today,” Kent said on the March 12 episode of her “Give Them Lala” podcast, providing context for their onscreen tension.

“But I feel like after that happened, we looked at each other differently, and we distanced ourselves.”

Doute — who is currently not on speaking terms with Kent, but friendly with Maloney — said that the women’s unsorted beef was a “surprising” revelation to her. Evan Real, Luke Broderick and Kristen Doute

The “Sex, Love and What Else Matters” podcast host is also shocked that she and Kent are on the outs.

Months ago, Doute told her listeners that she was “filled in” that Kent was upset with her for participating in a November 2023 live taping for Zack Peter’s “No Filter” podcast with Golnesa “GG” Gharachedaghi.

Doute is confused by Kent’s contention because the former doesn’t even “like” 42-year-old Gharachedaghi, she told Page Six.

“Over somebody neither of us like or are friends with? I mean, that’s on Lala. I don’t know. She flipped the script on me,” Doute shared. “She’s the one who lost it. I wasn’t happy about it.”

Gharachedaghi and Kent have been at odds since the “Shahs of Sunset” alum spoke out in support of Kent’s ex Emmett, saying the latter shouldn’t speak poorly of him in public because they share a child. (Emmett has been accused of cheating on Kent and denied it.)

For this reason, Kent later made it known on her own podcast that she didn’t appreciate Doute associating herself with Gharachedaghi.

“I saw where she was coming from a bit, but I think the dismissiveness of our friendship publicly rather than conversing with me?” Doute opined. “She’s never conversed with me about it.”

Whether or not a conversation with Kent transpires, Doute is looking forward to her reality TV return on “The Valley” — an extension of the “Pump Rules” world also starring estranged couple Brittany Cartwright and Jax Taylor, plus new faces, including boyfriend Luke Broderick.

“I’m just so excited!” she enthused. “We all really put our lives on the line and had a blast this summer.”

Meanwhile, Doute’s beau, Broderick, had a different take. “I’ll just say it was a stress-filled, drama-filled summer,” he told Page Six. “Buckle up!”

“The Valley” — starring Doute, Broderick, Cartwright, Taylor, Danny and Nia Booko, Jesse and Michelle Lally, Jason and Janet Caperna, Jasmine Goode and Zack Wickham — premieres Tuesday, March 19, following a new episode of “Vanderpump Rules” on Bravo.
