KIM Tate makes a worrying discovery about Will Taylor’s ex Rose in Emmerdale.

The soap matriarch was left far from impressed when her husband's ex suddenly turned up at Home Farm looking for her daughter, Dawn.

The two headstrong women immediately clashed and Kim tried to pay Rose £3,000 to return to Spain where she had been living and never return to the village.

However, Rose ended up telling Will and Dawn what Kim had done, which then prompted Dawn to have a change of heart about her estranged mum and invite her to stay with them all.

Kim didn't fight the decision, but is clearly irked to have Rose right under her nose all the time.

The tensions have risen even further after Dawn and husband Billy were told their baby son Evan had a form of leukaemia last week.

While Kim and Will have done their best to support the couple and help look after their two other children, Rose hasn't quite known what to do with herself considering her fragmented and distant relationship with Dawn.

In upcoming Emmerdale scenes, Rose is left reeling as Kim continues to exclude her from the family.

But that afternoon, Rose chats to Lydia, intrigued by hers and Kim’s friendship.

The two women start to bond, leaving Kim jealous when she sees them together.

It was confirmed last month that former Casualty star Christine Tremarco had joined the soap as Rose.

Rose was described as "bolshy and boisterous" when the character was announced.

Reflecting on her new role, Christine said: "I am thrilled to be joining Emmerdale!

"To be working with such a wonderful cast and crew along with the brilliant writing and production team is an absolute joy!

"Rose is so much fun to play. She is free spirited, boisterous and totally mischievous with a steely edge and a big heart.”

Producer Laura Shaw added: "We are massively delighted to welcome Christine Tremarco to the Emmerdale Family.

"Christine brings a wealth of experience and talent and playing the character of Rose, a true free spirit with an exuberant outlook on life, she certainly promises to cause a real storm for some of our villagers.”
