Kyle Richards and Kathy Hilton gave an update on their sister Kim Richards. During the second part of “The Real Housewives of Beverly Hills” reunion, the celebrity siblings addressed reports of Kim’s struggles over the past year. When host Andy Cohen noted that he heard that Kim “wasn’t doing well” and was living in Florida, Hilton confirmed that her sister did make a move to the East Coast.
“She’s spending time there [in Florida],” Hilton said. “You know, I think she’s doing better.”
Kyle Richards chimed in to add, “Better than the last time there was stuff about her in the press, yeah.”
The reunion episode aired on April 8, hours after Kyle told fans on an Amazon Livestream that Kim was doing well.
In September 2024, TMZ reported that Kim Richards’ family had cut ties with her following an alleged relapse with alcohol.
The RHOBH reunion was taped on February 28.
Kim Richards Was in L.A. in January for a Fan Convention

It is unclear how long Kim Richards has been living outside of Los Angeles.
In January 2025, the 60-year-old former RHOBH star appeared at the fan convention, The Hollywood Show, at the Los Angeles Marriott Burbank Hotel, but reportedly flew in from out of state for the event.
While greeting fans at the convention, Richards spoke to podcast host David Yontef. The popular podcaster talked about his exchange with the former child star on his “Behind the Velvet Rope” podcast on January 24, where he noted that Kim told him she “flew in for this convention from Florida.”
Yontef noted that Kim Richards told him that she was staying with a friend in Florida but still had a house in Encino. She also told the “Behind the Velvet Rope” host that she hadn’t spoken to her sisters in in a “long time.”

In an October 2024 interview with Access Hollywood, Kyle Richards said the whole family has been there for Kim. “I’m supporting her like, you know, I would any other time that my sister’s gone through a difficult time,” she said. “You know my family very much sticks together in these times, even though it’s obviously difficult and challenging.”
But while filming the RHOBH season 14 episode “Sutton on Trial at Sea,” Kyle hinted that her relationship with her sister was strained. During a cast trip to Saint Lucia, Kyle told co-star Dorit Kemsley that Kim was doing well after Kemsley noted that it had been a while since she’d seen all three of the sisters together.
“I know, it is nice when we’re all together,” Kyle said, before admitting she hadn’t seen Kim in a while. “We’re just not that close, I don’t see her that much, unfortunately,” the RHOBH star said.
