“Kevin has a unique way of looking at it” – Jalen Hurts breaks silence on Eagles’ new offensive coordinator as he enters sixth season with sixth play-caller in bold quest for consistency amid constant change - suong

Jalen Hurts: Quarterback signs record-breaking five-year extension with Philadelphia Eagles; reportedly highest-paid player in NFL history | CNNFor a quarterback with plenty of success on and off the field, Philadelphia Eagles' Jalen Hurts hasn't had the stability many signal-callers look for.

Since arriving in the NFL with the Eagles as a second-round pick in 2020, Hurts has had five different play-callers in his five-year career. He's set to work on his sixth this season, with Kevin Patullo being promoted to offensive coordinator.

Despite all the coaching changes he has endured, Hurts has remained a consistent star on the Eagles. He has helped two of his former play-callers get head coaching jobs around the league.

A big part of that is staying focused on the task at hand. It's why he isn't worried about working with Patullo this season in a greater capacity.

“You take in stuff, and you're really just learning from your mistakes,” the QB1 said. “You're learning from your successes as well. You're learning from all your experiences, so there really isn't anything I can't lean on that I've experienced one way or another when it comes to change or a system or approach.

“And I think Kevin has a unique way of looking at that, so I'm excited to see what we can do."

Patullo was formerly the organization's passing game coordinator, so he has worked hand-in-hand with Hurts.

As the two try to work on a plan to continue Philadelphia's excellence on the offensive side of the ball, all eyes will be on their relationship throughout the season. If they can hit the ground running early, the Eagles won't miss a beat despite their consistent changes at play-caller.
