Fans of The Real Housewives of Atlanta are anxiously waiting for news about the 16th season of the show. However, many are disappointed that Kenya Moore will be absent for much of it as she stopped filming after the infamous incident with Brittany Eady. Now, the former Miss USA is opening up about rumors she’s currently filming scenes for the show, being a busy mom, and the adorable book she has written with her daughter, Brooklyn.
As RHOA fans know, news broke the past summer that Kenya had allegedly exposed revenge porn of newbie Brittany at an event during filming. After this, there was much talk about her future on the show. Currently, the reports say that Kenya made the decision to exit the series due to not feeling protected. Now, it’s unknown if the scenes Kenya filmed will be included or if she will be omitted altogether.
Recently, the RHOA alum sat down for an interview with Entertainment Tonight to discuss her new children’s book, which is called Brooklyn Bound: Paris. Notably, it’s already a bestseller, and she has more books planned. Naturally, they also talked about RHOA.
Specifically, the interviewer asked Kenya about the rumors that the RHOA cameras were rolling again in order to film her. Notably, season 16 wrapped filming several weeks ago.
Kenya responds, “I think it’s wishful thinking from the fans. I really have a great fanbase — real, not followers, but real fans and people who really care about me and that wanna see me, that miss me. Listen, like I said, I’m not going anywhere. I’m here.”
The clip then flashes back to the Instagram Live Kenya did while the drama was happening, where she vowed she wasn’t going anywhere.
She was then asked how she’s feeling about how things ended up after the drama with RHOA. According to Kenya, “Honestly, I’m so busy and there are projects that I can’t talk about right now but when I tell you I have not been busier and being a business woman also I’m learning that it’s really tough right now because having a distraction from your business is sometimes just that.”
She then says, “Now that I can really focus on all of the things that I really love and want to do, especially with my daughter involved, it’s a good time. The holidays are coming up. I’m excited.”
Kenya also said that she would open up about RHOA as soon as she could speak more about it.
Of course, Kenya also talked about her new book selling out.
She says, “I didn’t understand what was going on. I was like, ‘How can it be sold out so quickly?'”
She goes on to say, ” It was only for sale for two hours, so yes, thank you.”
About why this project was so important to her, Kenya says, “I think this project is so personal for me because I was watching her[Brooklyn] make her own little books. She would come home, and she would have these papers stapled together, and she would write her own stories and draw her own illustrations.”
She the says she was this process as a way to teach Brooklyn how to be an entrepreneur at an early age. She also said she wanted a way to show people who can’t travel what the world is like.
Fans can buy Brooklyn Bound: Paris from Amazon and other booth retailers.
