Katie Price branded 'disgusting' as fans accuse her of mistreating puppy in 'cruel' new video - suong

Katie Price has been branded 'disgusting' by fans, who have accused her of mistreating a puppy in a 'cruel' new video.

The former glamour model, 46, has owned several pets over the years, but has come under scrutiny after five dogs, a horse, and a chameleon all died while in her care - many of them in traffic accidents near her home in Sussex.

And now she has sparked uproar online after being accused of pushing her pooch onto the ground in her latest YouTube video, which was posted on Tuesday.

The moment was captured while her son Harvey was sat in a chair as he gently cradled his baby cousin, Olive.

It appeared like one of Katie's dogs wanted to join in with the fun as he attempted to get up onto the chair with the pair.

But as the dog jumped up and got close to the baby, Katie appeared to place her hand onto the dog before moving it down out of the shot.

As her hand reappeared into the frame, the pooch suddenly disappeared before a sudden bang could be heard on the floor.

As this happened, someone behind the camera could be heard making a concerned 'ooo' noise.

The moment has led some of her fans to accuse the star of unfairly shoving her pet dog.

Taking to the comments, they raged: 'You knocked the poor puppy flying I could hear the bang on the floor so cruel;

'Omg the way you just flung your poor dog on the floor, you have no business looking after any animals. You really are such a horrible person;

'Disgusting the way you knocked that puppy onto the floor. We all know about your track record with dogs and puppies. You should not be allowed anywhere near pets;

'Please don’t push the dog away like that;

'Could you have pushed that poor puppy any harder ffs. Poor show.'

Just last month Katie sparked another wave of backlash after reportedly investing in a racing greyhound, despite having seven animals die in her care.

She was said to be facing more anger from animal rights campaigners after allegedly becoming a co-owner of a female greyhound named Barbie Bullet.

The Sun reported that Katie 'loves' the racing dog, who she was previously pictured with in October, and thinks the investment will bring her 'fun and joy'.

A source told the publication: 'Katie adores animals and this is a way of her potentially making a little bit of money.

'It’s not a lucrative sport though, so mostly she just wants to get a bit of fun and joy out of her investment.

'Racing dogs have good people around them who give them attentive care, and Barbie Bullet is no different. There’s absolutely no need to worry about the welfare of this dog.'

MailOnline has contacted Katie's representatives for comment.

Barbie Bullet is two-years-old and is said to have won six of her 41 races, with her last being on March 1, where she came third.

According to sports data site Timeform, the dog has four owners, including Miss K Price and another being Miss L A Rickwood, though to be Katie's close pal Lynne Rickwood.

Meanwhile, a petition calling for Katie to be banned from owning animals has now garnered more than 37,000 signatures after seven pets have died under her charge.

She attributes these tragedies to 'bad luck,' with most occurring while she was away and has since secured the garden of her new home to ensure her pets' safety.

In February, the mum-of-five hit back at those who criticised her, telling The Sun: 'When people say I shouldn't have animals, it’s circumstances that were out of my hands.

'It’s no lack of me not looking after them or anything like that. I love animals, I love nurturing.'

Last year, leading charity PETA penned an open letter to Katie after reports that she had given away her puppy Tank due to 'losing interest'.

The charity also offered her £5,000 if she signs a contract to not acquire another animal.

'While your intentions may be good, the ever-growing number of animals who have either died under your supervision or been given away is impossible to ignore, and people are rightly concerned,' PETA Vice President Elisa Allen wrote, in the letter shared by The Sun.

'Whatever you may offer as reasons for their suffering, relinquishment, or demise, the fact is that you are consistently harming these sensitive, sentient individuals, and I hope you agree that this is a solution.'

PETA added: 'things have gone horribly wrong with many of the animals under her supervision'.

In response to the open letter, a representative of Katie's told MailOnline: 'Katie has asked PETA many times to have a conversation with her directly, but instead they continue to play the narrative out in the media.'

'If they want to have a direct conversation with Kate they can get in touch.'

'Isn't it a waste of charity money or have they got funds available to give out to celebrities, which should be going towards animals?'

A defiant Katie recently introduced a 10-week-old cocker spaniel named Rookie to her family and also revealed she's bought yet another pet in January - a hairless Sphynx cat.

The reality star has previously dealt with the deaths of her five dogs, a horse and even her chameleon, Marvin.

Before getting her new kitten, Katie rescued a black Labrador puppy from a neighbour in November last year, making her have a total of seven dogs, eight pets in total.

She has four Chihuahuas - named Captain, Buddy, Colin, and Batman - as well as a French Bulldog named Precious, a German Shepherd Tank and a Labrador puppy.

Her beloved dog Blade died in June 2023 just seven months after Katie's other dog, Sharon, was killed on the same road.

Sharon was killed when she allegedly escaped and ran on to the road where she was hit by a car. She was picked up off the A24 by the driver and taken to Arun Vets in Pulborough, West Sussex, where her death was confirmed.

In 2020, Katie's pet dog Rolo suffocated in her home, while her Alsatian Sparkle was mowed down in February of the same year, in shocking echoes of the death of her dog Queenie, who was killed in 2018.

In July 2020, Katie was criticised by animal rights activists after Rolo's suffocation. The French bulldog died after getting stuck in an electric armchair while the reality star was packing some bags in another room, reported The Mirror.

Rolo was given to her daughter Princess as a birthday present.

Katie later revealed her shock after she was illegally advised to give her late puppy Rolo cannabis oil before he 'suffocated to death in an armchair'.

Katie told The Mirror that she was unaware that it is illegal to give dogs the substance without a veterinary prescription, in accordance with the The Veterinary Medicines Regulations 2013.

One of Katie's horses was tragically hit by a car and killed in 2017 after escaping from a field.

And in 2018 her dog Queenie was struck and killed by a delivery driver.

PETA also slammed Katie after her dog named Blade died in her care - saying she had 'blood on her hands'.

PETA Vice President of Programmes Elisa Allen told MailOnline after the death of her dog Blade: 'After a seventh animal died in her custody, Katie Price should be facing more than the court of public opinion – she should face a court of law and be banned for life from keeping animals.

'PETA urges authorities to look into Blade's death and reminds the public that it's not just Price who has blood on her hands.

'Greedy breeders who keep selling or 'gifting' animals to her are also to blame, as they know full well what the likely outcome will be.'
