Vanderpump Rules' Katie Maloney fell "in love" with her boyfriend, Nick Martin, last year, and she has been happy ever since. After Katie confirmed that she was dating the Sleeping with Sirens guitarist in October 2024, she's been full of smiles — and she's finally opening up about her relationship in new detail.
Katie took to her podcast, Disrespectfully, which she co-hosts with Dayna Kathan, in an episode released on Jan. 22 (and recorded on her birthday days prior), where she revealed that "falling in love" with Nick was a huge highlight of her year. Dayna then encouraged Katie to speak about her boyfriend, who makes Katie feel like a "lucky, lucky gal."
"He's just the best," she said. "He's the most wonderful person I met."
Nick is so wonderful that he even got Katie a mariachi band for their New Year's Eve celebration which was attended by pals like Dayna. "He is just so thoughtful," she said.

Katie then went on to explain, during the recent podcast episode, how she and Nick first got together. "I mean, I was friends with him for a long time before anything happened and honestly wasn't on my bingo card," she admitted. "I didn't expect to fall for him, but I did, and it happened really quick. And I think we just both were on the same page with things. So we were just, like, let's be together."

Katie continued, noting that there are many things that she appreciates about Nick. "I just always thought he was so kind and thoughtful and supportive," she said. "He's been nothing but supportive since the day I met him, basically. I just feel really lucky and fortunate and he is always just there."
Nick also has a lot of attributes that are important to Katie. "He's so patient and loving and he's so nice to my family, which is really important. And I love his family and friends," she concluded.

The Something About Her co-owner took to Instagram on Jan. 23, where she posted a round-up of photos taken over the past month. In the carousel Katie can be seen attending Emo Nite, celebrating her birthday with friends, hanging out in Utah with Nick, holding a cake shaped like a hot dog at her podcast studio, playing cards, and riding on the teacups at Disneyland.
"January is my favorite," Katie wrote in the caption of the post alongside a hotdog emoji. "Emo Nite in my hometown, got spoiled by my friends for my birthday, special moments with my honey, and a HOT DOG CAKE!!!"
Nick then took to the comments where he had the sweetest words for his girlfriend. "You were the best Park City tour guide," he noted, alongside a red heart emoji. "Also, glad there's no photo/video of me getting queasy on the teacups with you."
