Katie Maloney and Scheana Shay may have put their differences aside as they offer support to their mutual friend, Ariana Madix, on the heels of Tom Sandoval and Raquel Leviss‘ affair because “some things are more important.” But that doesn’t mean she’s ready to apologize for comments made on Vanderpump Rules season 10.
While appearing on Wednesday’s episode of Watch What Happens Live, Katie commented on Raquel’s assault claims against Scheana, shared why she found Tom Schwartz‘s appearance on WWHL to be “pitiful,” and more. But first, she reacted to Scheana telling podcast listeners that she is expecting an apology from Katie at next week’s reunion.
After acknowledging that she told Scheana harm is gonna come for her and that she’ll “watch her world burn and smile,” Katie confirmed on the March 15 episode of the WWHL: After Show, “I’m not gonna apologize for that.”
“I was upset. That was a response to her crazy actions that she was doing. I was hurt by it,” Katie explained of the comments she made after Scheana encouraged a make-out between Schwartz and Raquel.
Although Katie stands by her harsh words, she confirmed she does not fear for safety when she’s around Scheana, who denied Raquel’s claims of having punched her in New York City.
“No, have you seen those turkey talons, she cannot make a fist,” Katie declared.
Meanwhile, on the live broadcast on WWHL, Katie denied that the cast is hypocritical for judging Raquel after their many, messy hookups.
“The difference is like, vast,” she stated while confirming Andy Cohen‘s claim that she and Ariana are the only cast members who haven’t cheated.
Back on the After Show, Katie was asked for her thoughts on Schwartz’s WWHL appearance alongside Sandoval last month, during which Schwartz seemed to be “checking” with Sandoval every time Andy asked a question.
“It was pitiful. It was pitiful. I texted him. I was like ‘You were embarrassing. You couldn’t keep your fingers out of your mouth.’ I felt like [Andy was] babysitting. He’s 40. He’s 40 years old, everybody. That ain’t cute,” she said.
Then, when she was asked if Schwartz is filming Winter House, Katie replied, “He … I think there’s pictures of him.”
Because of Sandoval’s affair with Raquel, his and Schwartz’s businesses, including Schwartz & Sandy’s and TomTom, have been flooded with poor reviews on Yelp. But addressing the matter, Katie didn’t seem too sympathetic.
“I think when you put your name on your business and it’s your brand … Your reputation is going to affect that. You have to move in the world in the way that is not going to tarnish as such. So if this is the fallout, then it’s the fallout,” she reasoned. “It sucks but like, it is what it is.”
When Katie was then asked if she often found herself making excuses or “covering” for Schwartz during their marriage, she confessed to doing so.
“It’s embarrassing. It’s called being a broken woman and having your self-conscious be so beaten down,” she explained. “It’s like when you feel like your worth is so low. The writing is all on the walls you just can’t see it and you want to just justify it all away.”
Also on the live broadcast, Katie revealed what she’s hoping to learn at the upcoming reunion, which will be filmed in Los Angeles next Thursday, March 23.
“I want to know when it started [and] I want to know when Schwartz found out,” she shared.
