The Southern Charm star got busted for driving under the influence and threw an epic temper tantrum when the cops tried to take her to jail. Now, to continue the embarrassment, her attorney wants her to face a jury of her peers.
Kathryn’s day in court
This drama all started when Kathryn allegedly caused a three-car collision last month. When the cops showed up, they said they could smell booze on her. Her eyes were glossy. All of the signs were there that she had been drinking, but she claimed that wasn’t the case. Then, she stumbled through a field sobriety test, and the cops found empty alcohol bottles in the car. However, she never took a breathalyzer test which could be a sticking point for her lawyer.
The alleged Fireball-sipping reality star was scheduled to appear in court earlier this week, but according to Us Weekly, she didn’t show up. Instead, her lawyer asked for a jury trial. A Goose Creek sheriff spokesperson explained how it all went down.
“Through her attorney, a continuance and a jury trial was requested,” the spokesperson shared.
In the days since her arrest, Kathryn has been keeping a low profile. She bonded out of jail and was back home less than 24 hours after the cops picked her up. Judging by her social media presence, you’d never know she just spent time in the slammer. In her last Instagram post before the arrest, she was smiling with her little one after cheering him on in a football game. The following day, she wound up in jail and has been quiet online ever since.
